Ro' gettin some draft love

You may be proven right, but I'm not about to bet against him.

Taylor Griffin was even less likely to develop into a real SF, and he held a roster spot for a year.

Isn't he Taylor Griffin with a better jump shot and just a little less athleticism?

That's kinda the way I view it. His jump shot gives him a chance, I think.

If someone uses him as a stretch 4... He'll really have to scrap on defense
If someone uses him as a 3... He'll really have to scrap on defense

Those measurements probably keep him out of the NBA. He really needed to be 6'7+. He doesn't have the skills to play SF in the NBA, and now is below the threshold of most PF's. It's not impossible, but in a day and age where the NFL and NBA draft on potential and body-type as much as anything, I think Osby's chances really took a hit.

Too bad.

Osby was listed at 6'8" this year and that is what he measured with shoes on.

Griffin measured an inch and a half higher in his shoes....1-2 inches is normal

I have been posting on this board for almost two years that Osby wasn't a hair over 6'6". Come to find out he is 6'6". You, however, are welcome to believe whatever you want.

And he will be listed by what his height in shoes like everyone else is because people don't play basketball in bare feet.

Griffin is listed at 6'10" which is what he measured in shoes at the NBA combine.

Well, I'm 6' tall when I'm wearing cowboy boots. But, that doesn't change the fact that I'm 5'10". I don't go to town barefoot. But, I'm still just 5'!0".

The fact is Osby's listed height of 6'8" has always been an exaggeration. He was under sized for the position he played in college and will be quite undersized as a #4 as a pro. As a #3 he will probably out quicked.

He is a good guy, a good player, and I wish the best for him. Typically, players like Osby turn out to be D League all stars and never hang on to a roster spot because they are competing against guys that are just as good and 2" taller.

That is my opinion. I could be wrong. That is all I have to say on the topic.

you would have a point if some people played in shoes and some didn't. but they don't...and you don't.

Players play in shoes...end of story

I wonder if he plays in the shoes with the 2" heels?

His 2" thick shoes came within 1/4" of Cole Aldrich's 2 1/4" combine record.

Measured in at 6'7 without shoes and 6'8.5 with shoes! Guess I have grown an inch since Tuesday. Smh!

Funny. Might be rooting for this kid to make it more than any Sooner in any sport. We should strive to always have guys like him in the program. Great leader and great example. I might show recruits images of the Blake Show but I would show prospective boosters and supporters images of Roe.

6-7 is much better than 6-6.

I have a feeling that he hears his name called on draft day. Will be well deserved.
