Rogers and Jones DNP vs St Francis? What up with them?

Redshirting players is dumb. Let’s save that eligibility so they can go play an extra year for Baylor or Arkansas or whatever!

It sounds like the coaches want Barnes and Dolby to play but those guys decided they want to save their eligibility and transfer. The test will come if one of them is needed due to an injury to someone ahead of them on the depth chart. That will be a test of the “culture” that supposedly exists.

i cant blame them this is likely among the highest earnings they will ever have and they should maximize them

I can see both sides. But there are lots of players who stick around as backups and don’t redshirt, and obviously if everyone took this route, it would be virtually impossible to even field a team. The Barnes decision might be a blessing in disguise because given how badly we have handled the running back rotations, I think we probably would have been wasting reps on him rather than narrowing it down to X and Blaylock. Dolby is a tougher call. As good as the defense is, it still seems like he could help in some way if he could round back into form.

The dumb nil rules need to be reworked so they cannot do this anymore.

If we're being honest, ou bought the player's season this year. Their NIL is contingent on them playing and increasing their NIL. Its not to sit on a bench. People dont get paid big $$ for bench players. Nil needs clawback provisions or tiered structures so they don't get money to just workout or practice, they're "players" -- not "workouters" or "practicers". If I were a coach id make them carry bags, do equipment stuff, and anything I didn't want to do or have my players or staff do, until this dead/decaying sport is fixed

I can. I dont care about their careers. They may very well go to our arch rivals next year. Could upset us and prevent us from a natty in any given year. Why are we helping them out? They're paid for this year.. this is ridiculous
