Romero Osby finally feels at home

Ro has some ambitious goals. Best wishes on a great senior season. I hope Ro and his teammates give Sooner fans one to remember.

Romero is a well spoken, polite young man. Those who have met him can back me up on that. I have heard that he worked extremely hard on his game this year. Having a guy like M'Baye should really open up more scoring opportunities for him.

He played the back half of the conference season with a hurt foot which I think hurt him most defensively. Wish him all the best his senior year!

After attending the Tip In Club banquet following last season, I can confirm that this is true. In fact, the entire team impressed me as polite, respectful and well spoken. I was struck by the fact that these young men are wonderful representatives of the University of Oklahoma.

Coach Kruger should be proud of this fact, as should we all.

BT, I can attest to everything you said about Ro. He is easily one of the nicest OU players I have met over the years. If he couldn't walk and chew gum at the same time, I would still be a huge Romero Osby fan. He's that likeable.

I like how he talks about his personal goal of being Big 12 Player of the year. I think he has a shot. Pierre Jackson, Korie Lucious, Jeff Withey, Le'Bryan Nash, and Aaric Murray are most likely the main competition for it.

I'm eager to see what he does in year 2 at OU.

What about M'Baye? A lot of peole have stated he is the best player on OU's team. If they are correct, I would think M'Baye would be in contention for player of the year.

I would love for OU to have three or four guys make All Big XII (First, Second, Third or honorable mention). I think it is realistic with Osby, M'Baye, Pledger, Fitzgerald and Grooms all having a shot at being selected at some level. If Grooms improves his shooting and only slightly improves his turn over ratio he will get some consideration. Outside of his shooting, he was very solid last season. I am not suggesting he will be first team but he led the league in assist to turn over ratio last year and was 2nd in total assists to Jackson. I think Jackson's assist numbers might go down this year because he lost a lot of experienced players and may have to score more.

I agree Sam needs to improve his shooting but how does he inprove his assist to turnover ratio? He was nearly 3-1 and was either first or second in the league.

From a pg stand pt I doubt he gets any consideration Bc kabongo, lucious, hinds, Jackson, and Johnson are all better.

there is about a 0% chance that smart would start over grooms at PG

You'll get a chance to see who gets the better of one another when they play each other b/c Smart is starting at PG for OSU and thats who Grooms will have to guard.
