Sanctions and Coach(Employment) contracts?

Btw BOB, if you want to disagree with those who have reported it, then that's fine. It's not my information, I couldn't care less. Calling me a clown and telling me to take a business law course for posting something I heard from those who would probably know is as stupid as most of your opinions.

Nope...I don't disagree with anybody but you. You are claiming they reported it, but Tramel told me Capel has not yet been paid, so why would he report that?

It's obvious you are making this up as you go because of your man-crush on Capel.

Read and re-read the part I bolded. They don't anticipate it being an issue, but they have no clue until the investigation is complete. That's why he hasn't been paid.

I'm 110% certain OU's investigation was finished a long, long time ago. And I can also promise that OU's investigation turned up much more than any NCAA investigation ever would.

I swear, this is like arguing with a child. Al, Traber, and Dean about two weeks ago were discussing this exact same thread topic. Traber said, "I can tell you guys for a fact that Capel has received his buyout". Dean said, "I've heard the same thing Jim". I heard Tramel discuss it at a later time as well.

You're right, I make up things about Capel's buyout because of a man-crush... Brilliant.

You can't promise anything because nobody knows how the NCAA is going to rule. No different than the previous times OU completed an investigation and thought the punishment would be light or non-existant but it was more severe than anticipated.

Oklahoma does not have a good record with the NCAA and so we've never been treated fairly in regards to rules being broken. Say what you want, this was a case of a coach, an employee of the university, assisting a player to secure funds to pay off a debt so he could enroll at the University (employing the coach).

From my sources, it sounds like OU thinks nothing will come of it, but again, nobody knows what the NCAA is going to do. Until then, no money will be paid.

Blevins reported Stoops was going to Florida. He also reported OU was in negotiations with Rick Neuheisel when OU hired Stoops.

Trabor has no sources. Zero. Zilch. None.

So if those are your sources you have no source.

So because Blevins was, in your opinion, wrong twice several years ago, he couldn't be right on Capel's buyout, could he?

That logic will certainly get you into your business law class, BOB.

Two posters on this thread who I happen to like and respect should put an end to this cat fight before it gets out of hand. Do I need to say more?

Again, It doesnt matter if he has been paid or not. If he has been paid and then is found to be a fault by the NCAA he can be forced to give the money back.

Absolutely correct, which is why it's not hard to believe Capel has already received his buyout. But then again, Im not in business law....
