Remember when most of us were worried about three point shooters and where our scoring was going to come from this season?

This team has averaged 87 points through the first three games. I didn't expect that, nor did I expect our kids to shoot 39% (23 of 59) from behind the arc. Even better, eight different players have contributed to what has been a pleasant surprise from long range.

I realize the season is just getting underway. Just thought I would point out that maybe we should have been more concerned about defense in our discussions before the season started. lol

I think in time this team will adjust to the way the games are being called and match the expectations we had for them on defense. If they do, and their offense continues to click, this OU team could surprise some people.

Depending on how things shake out we may get a very good measuring stick of where we are next week. If we beat Seton Hall and at least challenge MSU then that will be a great sign. At this point I don't think the 3pt shooting is a fluke. So, if we can improve our defense we may surprise some people. I don't think we're ready to beat a team like MSU, but I hope we're ready to push them.
