Yes, it would have. He pointed to one particular metric. He acknowledged that was just that … one metric. Another metric the committee considers is your record against Q1-3. Add three Q3 wins in place of Q4, and it does matter. We are talking razor thin margins here. Every little thing counts.

I don’t think there should be much question that moving Q4 wins into Q3 helps. Likely the difference in making 3 of the last 5 tournament, as we've been one or two teams away nearly every year. What has been discussed is the newer challenges scheduling those games we've faced.
