Seth Davis likes the Sooners

He's a writer for SI, I think. I feel like I've read him before. He watches a lot a of basketball as nation guy and usually has good sense of things. If we've caught his attention that's probably a good thing. Unlike a lot of these AP voters he's probably actually seen us play some games.

He also does college basketball for CBS. He's a Dookie.

a tad high since they had Kansas at 15 last week. But I really believe this is close to being a top-20 team.

If we could have taken care of la tech at home or KSU on the road, I would agree that we are a top 20 team. Until we can close out consistently though, I think 21-30 is probably a more accurate range for us.

While we've had two good wins in the last week, we're still 3-3 in our last 6.

Before this season started, who would have thought that OU would have been seriously considered in the same conversation with the Top-25?

I thought we were still a year away from that happening.

No one I can think of. Certainly not me. If someone had told me this team would have five players averaging in double figures, I would have thought they were off of their rocker.

I agree that 16 is a little too high. We're not quite there yet. But OU is a legit top 20 to 25 team, and just as deserving to be ranked that high as any team in the country. Seth Davis knows his basketball. He's not some guy who sits around in an office somewhere and then flips a coin every week to come up with his top 25 list.

I think it all came down to Spangler - far, far exceeded my expectations for what he would give us down low.

I thought we'd get votes, I didn't think we'd enter the top 25.

I also didn't think we'd be as consistent of a thorn in these "better" programs' sides as we've been. Too bad for them, the Big 12 is tough this year and they can't take the OU game off. Haha
