Not real impressed by their early season.
Beat Niagra, Kent State(close games) and Monmouth at home and lost
on the road in 2 OTs to Mercer.
Still would be a good win to beat a former/new Big East team.

Kent State and Mercer are both better than anyone we've played. I wouldn't be so quick to dismiss Seton Hall.

I agree with your point (that we shouldn't overlook them), but Alabama is better than both of those teams. Crimson Tide finished 2nd in the SEC last year and made it to the NIT quarterfinals where they lost by one point.

I doubt that anyone is going to overlook Seton Hall. But, I do know this, the players and staff want Mich. St. My opinion is that they might not like it when they get them. But, they want them.

I don't see how we are in any position to overlook seton hall. I think it will be a tough game and a pretty good win if we can get it. If we get to play michigan st I see it as a no lose situation. Nobody besides the players/coaches would expect a win. If you lose to the #1 team in the nation it won't hurt you very much, if you stay close and barely lose it could be a confidence boost and show you can hang with the big boys. If we somehow pulled off the win it would be a huge upset and big win. Only downside I could see would be if we got blown out of the gym. It could hurt our confidence and make people say we can't hang with good teams. But from the reports and things we hear about the team, I don't think that confidence will be much of a factor.

should win but they have 2 players that concern me, Fuquan Edwin will give Buddy all he wants and Gene Teague is a 6'9 280 bulldozer who isn't overly skilled but we have no one to match his size, this would have been a game where Hamilton would have gotten 12-14 min specifically to match with him

Bama is average. Other than Relaford, they lost all of their best players from last year's team.

Bama is preseason number 6 in a 16 team SEC. That is much better than average. These mid major teams cannot compete in the big conferences. They might not be the worst team in the conference but they would not fair well over a full season. This has been proven by TCU in football. Those clowns have a losing record in Big XII play.

You so crazy. Their roster is littered with top 100 kids and a few high profile transfers. They are better than average.

They're a very veteran team playing in their own backyard.
We are a very young team playing far from home for the first time this year.

We are very likely the better team, but they won't lay down, and it will be solid if we can manage the win. I really want our guys to see what it's like to go toe-to-toe with a team like MSU.

It will be tough because of where it is, but I think we are the better team right now. Rebounding is also their weakness. We are similar defensive teams, but we are deeper and more efficient offensively. I think we have more guys that can step up.

I expect Cam Clark to have a big game.

We'll see. I wasn't impressed by them. But I certainly hope you're right.

They've got a lot of firepower and are shooting at a high clip (53%) and are really athletic. Their biggest problem is that their point guard is a shoot first shooting guard. Releford's only averaging 1 assist per game. He's got to get his teammates involved if they're going to be really good.

I think Alabama is better than those teams, however, we definitely caught a break in that game as Releford missed a significant amount of time due to foul trouble. I think we might still win if he plays more minutes, but they were dicing us up early in the game when Releford was playing.
