OK. Crocker was Capel's recruit. I don't care if he was recruited by Sampson...he didn't play for Sampson. And Reynolds and James were also Sampson's recruits and they didn't come here.

And even if AJ and Taylor were Sampson's players...they were coached under Capel for 3 years before making the elite 8.

I think Smart is the right coach at Texas to start winning championships. The state of Texas is loaded with talent. He will start having recruiting classes like Duke and Kansas and so on.

2013 texas not a top 25 class at the time .. but barnes got who he wanted 4 star guard Yancy and 3 star PG Isaiah Taylor ..(one of the best PG in the nation the last 3 years)

ie smart can't recruit better than barnes did .. and barnes was already beating duke/Kentucky/Kansas/unc on recruits ..

I agree that he's recruited good but he's also lost several Texas kids.

Talk about kids from the state of Texas that have either won or has come close to winning a championship since 2009...

I'm just saying I think Smart is the coach that will start keeping these kids in the state of Texas.
