I dont see it with the addition of Grooms, he was most likely a back up option if OU struck out with Grooms.
 
I can see it just because after next year we will basically have no point guard. Get a young guy that can learn in the system play the point a couple years down the line.

I'd rather get a guy like J-Mychal Reese in 2012 for that.

I wouldn't be surprised by that, heck both probably would if OU doesn't pick anyone else up. Pure speculation on my part.

I honestly would be ok with this, if we dont get anyone else they are both srs. so we would still have the scholarships for 2012 and it would be a reward for the hard work they have put in

It would help the APR as well if I understand it correctly.
 
The upcoming classes are just filled with Shaqs.
Only a few years from the "Kobe" run.
10 years from Lebrons, maybe even some Carmelos.
