Should college shot clock be 24 seconds?

I say leave it.

You shorten it and it becomes a huge disadvantage for the mid-major and less talented teams. That's part of the beauty of college hoops...there ability to compete in a one game setting.

Texas, Oklahoma and New Mexico definitely do not have shot clocks...can't speak for other parts of the country.

Shot clocks make the game so much more enjoyable to play, it's not even close IMO.

Seven States have a shot clock at the High School Level:

California
New York
Massachusetts
Rhode Island
South Dakota
Virginia
Washington

They all use 35 for boys and 30 for girls

Are there statistics on the average time the first shot is taken in the college game?

i hate rule changes, roy williams ala horse collar penaly is stupid, the new celebration rules are stupid,, leave them be i say

i vote no on the 24 clock for the NCAA men's game. i like the way 35 opens up the game to a lot of different tempos and makes teams play D for the full 35. 24 you just get guys dogging it back and forth a lot, at least in the NBA reg season.
