Should we view this team like a expansion team?

Sans three players, two of whom are true sophs, this team is like a first year expansion team with a couple of good players ready to join next year. How long does coach get under the circumstances and how much does he get blamed for not knowing the mentality/work ethic of Gallon and Griffin? He banked on them to keep the program in the upper tier and that backfired. Seemed like the team played fairly hard today and fought back well after getting down on multiple occasions but certainly does not have much talent or at least talent that is not playing to their abilities. Hope the team makes steady improvement but it might be a long while before championships can realistically be discussed.
