Sloth to enter NBA Draft.

Exactly. Agree with everything. The fact is the guys I listed were similarly ranked as Aldrich and none were all-americans and lottery picks.
And I agree 100% about Marcus Morris. I was telling all my KU buddies the 2nd half of the year, KU was MUCH better and more fluid offensively with the Morris twins in the game together. Marcus Morris will be a strong candidate for Big 12 POY next year. He was KU's best player the 2nd half of this season. He's unstoppable as a scorer. I also expect Thomas Robinson to be much improved and get a chance to shine. So to me a front line of the Morris twins and Thomas Robinson and then 7'0 Withey some spot minutes is better than this years.
PG is where KU is going to have a huge let down unless they land Selby or Knight and to a lesser extent than those two, Lamb.

I agree, Morris was a stud this season.

Even getting all those JUCO guys you never know. You have to guess at least one of them as a bust. Also, transitioning those guys in will take a while. Next year is going to be a tough one for OU fans.

Aldrich won't light up the league by any means, but he will be a good role player for whoever picks him up. Can board, block shots, body up the bigs, good head on his shoulders, he's your ideal back-up big man.

His game's about his ugly as his front tooth, but he'll get the job done in the league. He'll be a good pick up.

As someone who routinely pulls for KU to lose (it is what it is) I was always much more concerned when Marcus had good post position as opposed to Cole. He is so much more decisive with the ball. It will be interesting to see who fills the leadership role for KU next year. Now you better drop the KU talk, surely buttermaker has his filter set tonight.

You could actually make an argument that if KU signs Josh Selby and Thomas Robinson makes a similar improvement to Marcus Morris that KU actually has a higher ceiling next year in the tourney. It's crazy to say but as good as Collins and Aldrich were they both had major shortcomings that effected us in that tourney game.

I think our lineup next year will be much more similar to the team that won it.

X has to come back, but I agree with the sentiment. They will need a leader though. I will say having a "leader" can be somewhat overrated, but it's always good to have someone to play that role in some capacity.

I actually meant that with X not coming back. I know it sounds crazy but X and Sherron had a ton to do with us being completely unable to guard the perimeter this year. Sherron was definitely hurt and carrying about 10-15 pounds too many and X just doesn't move well laterally.

Replace those two with Selby and Elijah Johnson and you have a perimeter that can really pressure and create turnovers. I don't know who the leader will be but I think Marcus will definitely be the go to guy. You also have Travis Releford coming off a redshirt and by all accounts has been extremely impressive.

Man you guys are a lot more pessimistic about our chances next season than I am. While I'm certainly not going to predict a top 4 league finish or anything crazy like that, I would be very surprised if we were to go 13-18 again. I think coach is going to get some solid JUCO guys in and I think we'll at least finish with a .500 record. Honestly if we're 13-18 again we need to be looking for a new coach.

I think .500 is possible but to me it's more on the higher end of the spectrum.

Its hard to say. Last year's team had a lot of talent, but no chemistry. This year's team could have less talent and more chemistry and actually be a better team. If Tiny (seems more and more likely) and Willie (possibly based on injury) return and have a better attitude, this team could be significantly better than last year's team.

aldrich is prime example of how great bill self is and why he is such a masterful recruiter. He can tell kids...i made cole aldrich an all-american and lottery pick think what i can do with you. :woot

lmao

I would certainly hope the ceiling is higher than Northern Iowa with all that talent yikes.

Funny stuff. Will they have a higher ceiling than the 1st round exit-Bucknell team?

Is OKC hosting a regional next year? This is the question Kansas fans should be asking.

Did someone say, "Sloth love Chunk!"
