SO disappointing

Most years I'd agree with this, but this season we're superior to Kansas in almost every way except depth.

Saturday's loss was absolutely harder for me to swallow than any since our loss to the jayhawks in the national title game of '88. It will take awhile for me to get over this one.

I'm with you. I can't name another game that affected me like Saturday's game except the 88 loss to KU.

Just my opinion, of course, but I believe when the Sooners are playing to their potential, they are a better team than the jayhawks. It's not a one-on-one game.

I guess I disagree, OU played a great game and lost in triple OT. Obviously yesterday OU played bad, but I'm thinking ku had something to do with that as well..and we lost. At this point we are 0-2 against them. Hard to argue that OU is better down the line.

Believe me, I'd LOVED to have swept them..I'm hopeful that we can back our way into the league title, maybe beat them in Allen Field House 2 (sprint center) and last longer in the ncaa...

I don't think Jordan and Ryan's play in the first half of the season was an aberration. I think they are simply in a slump and at some point they will come out of it.

Billy Tubbs used to say teams have 5 great games each season. Maybe that Villanova game was one of our 5 but if so we still have 4 left. I hope we save them for March and find other ways to win until then.

funny story...well sort of. I, like most guys then, had 1 or 2 OU hats in the back window..ya know, showing who I cheered for.

Anyway, the next day I was driving home from work, lived in Prairie Village at the time...this old beat up POS car pulls up beside me. Honks the horn..so I look over...(we are driving down the street at this time) and puts the cover of the Star sports page up in the passenger window of his car...then speeds off.

what a jack wagon. Course back then, couldn't find a damn ku fan as their team was tanking in the season. As soon as the won the phone wouldn't stop..fireworks...all kinds of crap. Wore my OU proudly...even in the 90's with crappy football.

I agree....on those 2. I'd say yes IF OU's plays lights out..we are equal..except depth, but I guess that's part of it for me. We have to play lights out. We'll see what happens.

Hope we can get those 4 in March! .lol
