That's KD's new nickname. Probably the best one yet. He's slowly becoming the best player in the game. Definitely the MVP for this season.

just an insane year.
31 PPG, 8 RPG, 5 APG, 1.5 SPG, 1 BPG, 51% FG, 88% FT, 42% 3P

Lebron this year:
26 PPG, 7 RPG, 7 APG, 1.3 SPG, .3 BPG, 58% FG, 75% FT, 38% 3P

Thunder 36-10 playing without westbrook
Heat: 32-12

It's funny b/c at first the thunder were not playing well at all without westbrook and we were thinking that maybe westbrook as actually more valuable than durant for the thunder.

How bad is Lebron going to be hated in ok if he continues to deny KD a ring? You can feel an epic battle brewing between those 2.

Not long ago many thought Lebron wouldn't win a ring.

I think it's a cool nickname, but KD doesn't like it because he said it has a negative vibe to it.

The great ones don't need a nickname. Bird, Jordan, Shaq, Duncan, Kobe, Dirk. Magic is the only guy with a nickname but it wasn't created during his nba career. KD or Durant is his calling card. The nicknames are goofy & won't stick.

The Heat are just a bad matchup for the Thunder. When the Heat bring it defensively they blow up a lot of their iso/ball screen game with their quick guards. (Lebron, Wade, Chalmers, Cole) Bosh also ate Ibaka for lunch 2 years ago, I suspect Serge has closed that gap somewhat.

It will be interesting to see if the Pacers can take out the Heat if they can keep home court, as that would be a better match up for the Thunder.

And yes, the Thunder are in the Finals assuming Westbrook comes back healthy. Nobody in the West can beat them 4 times. I mean they almost (I lean toward Paul over Westbrook) have the best two players in the entire Conference, and the best bench. Game over.

Shaq had about 50 nicknames. So did MJ.

Sefolosha's complete inability to slow down Lebron is a big problem. We had to shift KD onto Lebron last time, which got KD in foul trouble and wore him out on the offensive end.

So yeah they just destroyed the Heat tonight.

They have a 21-4 record with Westbrook this year. KD is just at another level right now.

The question is whether KD is at a abnormal level right now or where he would always be without deferring to Westbrook. The Thunder identity & flow is the best I've ever seen when Durant is in complete control of the offense & the other 4 guys are spotting up or cutting to the bucket. The spacing is excellent.

Trade Westbrook to the Bucks for Brandon Knight, John Henson, and a lottery pick.
