Ellen Renfro might have been recognized as one of the great pitchers in NCAA history if there just had been no Chamberlain. Lauren woke up OU with a solo HR. Then, she got the runner to third that gave OU a temporary lead with a single. Then, just to bury Tennessee, she hit her fourth career home run off of Renfro, in five games.

Big Super-Regional win by the Sooners. Tennessee has a top-flight pitcher and their team finished 2nd in the SEC. Now the Sooners get a shot at the team that finished 1st in the SEC ... Alabama. Kelsey Stevens needs to keep her cool and the Sooner defense needs to play solid.

Once again, the WCWS in OKC should be a wonderful sporting event.

Yeah, the words, Oklahoma Sooners, will give her nightmares for a long time! I think most people thought she and the Vols would be a shoo-in for the NC this year after her performance in NC series last year. She may have peaked too early this year as I think they said she started this year 21-0 and finished 30-9, so although she looked pretty good last night, Friday and today, she didn't look nearly as good.

Kelsey is a tough kid. I thought she hung in there well today and when the Sooners started hitting it square, it was all over. Chamberlain is pretty good for a one-legged girl, mercy that girl is strong. Great win today! :woot

With both OU and Baylor in the WCWS, the neighborly thing to do would be for Ms. Coale to invite Ms. Mulkey up for a visit this week so both could attend the WCWS games and it would be good for them to bond.
