Texas will come to Norman for a 3 game series. The game on Saturday is sold out but tickets are still available for Thurs. and Fri.

Seems odd that we've got the better record overall, and in conference play, and we just took 2-of-3 from the Bears in Waco. Yet they're still ranked higher.

My thoughts exactly! Don't understand at all! Of course, polls aren't understandable a lot of the time!

Perhaps we should start our own poll. We could call it the tycat-scrybe.com poll. You and I would cast the only votes and every Sooner team would be a unanimous No. 1 every week. :)

Don't waste time thinking about the "Why" of human polls. They are the most worthless, inaccurate, biased way teams could ever be measured. Lots of folks complain about computer polls, but they (when done to actually measure team quality - and some are NOT) are dramatically better at predicting outcomes than the human polls.

Hopefully we can overcome this early 1-0 deficit. It looks like their girl is on a roll so far.

1-1. We are just short of getting that big hit that will break the game open. Their pitcher is good. Our hitters are better than theirs, except we didn't hit the HR.

LoJack says that she could play next week but she also said she's not taking BP yet. It would have been nice to have her up there with the bases loaded. We just needed a few more feet on that fly to right.

Casey and Williams do hit the home runs, and OU leads 4-1 after five. I'm not sure Texas has seen a team with OU's hitting, even without Chamberlain. Casey, Self, Pendley, Williams, Miller, and Ellis are pretty solid with Martinez in the seven or eight spot.

Texas run-ruled OU, 9-0 in six. They got two in the first. We loaded the bases with nobody out in the bottom of the inning. We popped out to the pitcher, got a force at home, and a pop fly. When we didn't score, it seemed to take the wind out of our sails.

I must be a jinx. They commented that they have won 15 out of the last 17 games. Guess which two I got to watch?
