Oh with perez? You might be right about that. I'm not sure if that was intentional but it was a four pitch walk. She's walked two and hit one batter in the first two innings so far. Unless I missed another walk somewhere?

We are up 5-3 in the bottom of the fifth with one runner out and one sitting on third base. It could just be me but I feel like our girls are lacking energy tonight. We've not been very good at the plate since the second inning. Hope we can get out of this one without them adding another run

ABout 11 am saw update on Facebook that game is to resume at 12:50 today.

Lost that one 5-8. What a horrible way to come out and blow a game in which we had a 4-0 lead. I said yesterday that if we didn't get more of a killer instinct at the plate this team would chip away at the lead and end up stealing this game and that's EXACTLY what freakin' happened. Our pitching looked like they didnt' even want to be out there. Now we have to win both 2&3 games in this series if we want to win the SEC. And that's if we even get to play both games.

I feel like this has been a common theme lately with these girls, coming out and lacking energy and being way too nonchalant at the plate, allowing strikes to go by you and swinging at balls because you're already behind in the count. Idk if it's late season fatigue or something else, but if that doesnt' change I can easily see us getting beat out before the WCWS. Just because we are Oklahoma doesn't mean teams will just bow down and lose to us. TAMU proved that.

We don't have to win both just one of the last two. That's the good news. The bad news is we just put up a 1/19 stretch after Ella's HR, against the 12th ranked pitching staff in the SEC. Would like to know what PG was thinking when she pulled Lowery. Good news is I guess she can throw tomorrow maybe thats why they pulled her. Guachino not one of her better outings . Not excusing the hitting or lack thereof, but in a league full of inconsistent umpiring this was some of the worst, a minuscule strike zone to say the least.

I believe if we want to win the SEC outright we have to win both of the next 2 games. Alabama is only behind us by 1 game, so if we lose 1 of the next 2 we have to share the SEC regular season with them, again. Maybe another team as well, depending on how it all shakes up. I say we got our wake up call and take it to them the next 2 games. I agree, their pitching is not overly impressive and completely hittable. Maybe it's time to bench Barker and/or Pickering again and give Alyssa Parker and someone else a shot. They really can't do any worse at the plate.
