This morning, whoever handles the OU women's basketball Twitter account sent a good luck tweet to Townsville Fire (a professional women's basketball team in Australia). Any chance we could be recruiting down under?
1. We did visit Australia.
2. The team that almost beat the US U-19 team that Sherri coached was an Australian them that had a lot of talent. I don't know about their U-16 team.
While we can't recruit pros, it is interesting that the Townsend Fire head coach is the coach of the Australian U-16 team. Is Sherri contacting a player or keeping in touch with a key coach that she met via the US team?
