I could be wrong about tonight, but every team we play that is big Buford plays quite a bit.

Agree. I don't think James is getting those minutes because he's ahead of Buford/Odoms necessarily. But just a better match-up give the opponent.

When Iowa State went small (when McKay rested), it was a better fit for James.

Yeah ISU hedged hard on ball screens so the tried to get him open looks off that, but he was pretty passive. Good thing Spangler started hitting them.

the difference is that ku almost never goes small .... isu does all the time ..


we will have 2 bigs on the floor at pretty much all times tonight ..

so I would expect manyang and bufford to get close to 10 min each ..

No doubt. Spangler played 51 minutes last night and is averaging 33 per game. That's just too much given how he plays.
