Spangs improvement

I'm wondering if the light has come on for him or the staff talked to him about being more aggressive / confident on the offensive end. He has scored in double figures 8 straight games and he has been looking to assert himself much more. I have to give him credit for developing a decent 3 pt shot, and his ability to use the pump fake and blow by slower/ less athletic 4's is impressive. He has been the # 2 scoring option ( buddy # 1 obviously ) lately, and if Buddy were to leave, i could see Spangler being the # 1 option over Cousins next year or at least a situation where its 1a and 1b where Cousins and Spangler both put up between 12/ 14

He has obviously improved but I think this is one spot where Thomas has indirectly helped this team as he is another body to bang down low with the opposing teams bigs. Last year Spangler ran out of gas because it was just him down there, now Thomas takes a big with him and bangs for boards.

I suspect Spangler is averaging over 15 points a game over the last four or five games.

Does Spangler have the potential of Nick Collison?

I would also say that Thomas and the guards have to be respected as a scoring threat, in the game on Saturday, Spangler's defender rarely got help defending, which leaves him one on one, not sure that would have happened as much last year
