Stacey Dales night

Good work, Spock. I was so shocked about Caufield and Hill being called intramural players that I forgot all about Rosalind and Dionnah. Rosalind was TOUGH.

Dionnah was a fantastic player. To get some time at guard on that team as a freshman is a testament to her ability. She kept the 05 team from a losing record. I really believe that.

It's amazing how well Ross could move considering her knee situation. It seems as though she was missing a ligament, cartilage, or something like that, can't remember.

She was missing a mcl in one knee, and had some damage to the other. She was put together with duct tape, baler wire, and super glue just to get through the season. Truly selfless team player, and out standing shooter and rebounder.

If I remember LaNeisha ranked in the top ten in the nation in steals, and had a pretty good assist to turnover avg. too. Don't get me started about Caton, one my all time favorite all around Sooners to play for the Crimson and Cream.

Wow! I'm not sure whether we are throwing the rest of the team under the bus to honor Stacey or Stacey under the bus to honor the rest of the team.

As I remember, three were drafted. But, I don't think any had the careers that the players from UConn had in the pros. Taurasi and Bird had pretty good careers.

I'll take our guys anytime anywhere over the UConn folk. UConn was all talent, OU was guts and hustle. (Not dissing UConn, they were a great team.)

I'm sure Paris will get her time... but will Phylesha Whaley ever get her jersey retired?

If a woman could be a beast CH was one. She worked as hard as three girls and her contribution to the team was unmeasurable. Very hard to replace.

CP will eventually get her number retired. So will Blake. I am to lazy to look up stats but CP is one of the greatest players ever if we we are talking stats.

And again, I am happy to be corrected but there are 5 retired jerseys I am aware of. And she belongs up there with Tisdale and Alvin.

Dales also had a group of warriors around her. She was the engine but it takes more than that to drive.

What is a reasonable career as a student athlete in this sport to warrant your number hung in the rafter? Hollis? Drob? Tmac? I don't know. Maybe Brent Price or Laniesha Caufield. I am glad they hung her jersey where it belongs.

Phylesha Whaley was an All American and Big 12 player of the year. Not sure how far she guided any of the OU teams she played for thought. I can remember watching a sooner game a few years back and the announcer calling the game said Whaley was the 1st big time player Sherri ever had, followed by Dales, then Paris.
