The NCAA made him sit out 15 games this year when he came to Nebraska for Germany, but he should help them a lot today over an A&M team without their second best player.

Standhardinger led Nebraska in the two exhibition games with 17.5 points per contest while shooting 11-of-18 (61.1 percent) from the floor. He nailed 13-of-15 free throw attempts, including 9-of-11 in his first appearance, while adding 7.0 rebounds per game.

In Nebraska's final exhibition game, Standhardinger got a spot in the starting lineup where he hit 7-of-11 shots from the field for 18 points and seven rebounds in 20 minutes of action.

Should be interesting to see how the 6'8'' 220 forward plays after sitting out half the season. He has been practicing, and Doc has said he is their best offensive player. He started and led them in scoring and rebounding in the exhibition games.

Nebraska has their best Big 12-era non-conference record (12-3) and now they get a guy who might be their best player back.

they have been better this year than I thought they would be. No terrible losses- St Louis, Creighton and BYU. Some good wins- USC, Oregon St and Tulsa.

I still think they finish no higher than 10th in the league. The physicality of the league is likely to take its toll on those foreign guys who aren't used to that style. But we will see.
