Well, we can place these two squarely in the camp of the tin-hat wearers.

Driving in I listened to them go on and on about how we'll never know what was actually said to Smart, while I can agree that that may be true, they completely ignore the fact that the guy says he called Smart a "piece of crap" and that is somewhat given credibility by the TT floor audio/video that was released.

And, to top that off, Rohde said he listened to the floor audio/video over and over and never heard those words...he goes on to say that he guesses people are hearing what they want to hear. Really?

IMO, we have two separate incidents here. Smart had no excuse to get up and confront the old fart in the stands. But, as for the old fart in the stands, he is a disgrace to say ANYTHING derogatory to a student athlete. TT needs to take out their trash, but that is their issue to deal with.

Steely does go on to say that Smart was wrong to react the way he did and Rohde agrees, but to think that these two bozos fall into the conspiracy camp with so many delusional osu fans is unbelievable to me. I guess they too think the audio/video released by TT is doctored??

I know it’s not conclusive, but it is something. Orr says that that is what he said and there is audio/video with someone saying those very words. I just don’t see how you completely ignore that, but that’s what they seem to be doing.

People keep saying that what Orr says he said wouldn’t be enough to make Smart react the way did…I disagree. I think the reason is deeper than what meets the eye. Smart is having a hard living with the decision he made to stay in college one more year because it hasn’t worked out how him and the media (and the osu fans) all thought it would. It’s as simple as that.

I somewhat agree with this point. We've all heard far worse from fans all over the place. I've heard worse thing at 7th grade football and basketball games. I'm not saying that this fan isn't a d-bag or anything. But somehow, thousands and thousands of players have managed to not assault d-bag fans until Marcus Smart came along.

Rhode is a joke. I can't see how anyone can listen to him. I can't listen to sports talk in OKC anymore. I do enjoy the new morning animals on WWLS. Adding Spinozzi and Inzinga has been great imo.

And spinozzi seems to be the only sane one in regards to the marcus smart situation. He flat out called BBJ a dumbass this morning for still saying this was a racial issue.

Rhode is a joke. You can clearly hear piece of crap in the video. Anyone that says otherwise is a bold faced liar.

It is ridiculous to say a fan is a disgrace for saying anything negative to a student athlete. Heckling is part of sports. It is a tradition that we start with our children in little league. We celebrate fans that scream "Hey Ref You Suck" at basketball games. Coaches take technical fouls on purpose. Coaches swear at the players. Travis "dipsh!t" Ford heckled a free throw shooter. Lets get off this protect Marcus Smart and OSU at all cost nonsense. If that man called him a piece of crap (and the video supports that claim) he did nothing wrong.

Even if he was called the N-Word, all Smart has to do is go to an official and say what the fan says to him. He doesn't have to go straight to a fan and push him like he did. If a player goes on the road to attack a fan every time he gets taunted he's going to be going after a lot of fans. And won't last long in any league. It shouldn't matter what Orr said, Smart was stupid for attacking any fan and really got off light.

:OUbball-logo:I truely believe that Smart after he fouled and was out of control landing in the floor seating area heard a comment and in the heat of the moment, knowing they lost, he was called for a foul, and most lilkley disagreed with the call so his emotions took over and he took it out on the fan he heard say to him your a piece of crap! This has been boiling in him a while now especially since everywhere he goes they chant flopper! The old saying is the truth hurts and man did he prove that!
