:pledge:fitz along with :tmg. All of these guys are 4 year player who will definetely contribute this year and have the potential to be all conference guys by year 3 or 4. Fitzgerald has developed his body into college shape in less than 3 months. Both of these guys have very high bball IQs.

If Cameron Clark hangs around for 3 years that team will be a legit national championship contender.

I think Pledger and Fitz are better than most of the fans assume. I think Capel can develop these guys into All conference guys by their second year. I also think these guys will be hard to beat out of the line up next year. I know Lamb is a stud, but coming out of high school and competing with a guy who has just as much ability and one full year of experience more. Who would you rather have starting? For Drew, I think he could really suprise people, he won't out jump a BG type player, but he will put in work and out smart lots of post players. I expect good things out of him this season. Next year I think we will be preseason top 5 and a Title contender.

From everything I've heard Pledger flew under the so called radar...For the life of me I cant fiquire that one out...He was the leading scorer for the famed Boo Willias team, and as previoulsy stated out played alot of people inluding Mr. Lamb. A great teammate, student and good guy...He will play and contribute...The kid isa winner

Agreed and thanks for the info. What are your "sources in Norman" telling you about how Fitzgerald (and the other guys) are looking?

Totally agree, jmill! I have been saying the same thing about both players for several months.

Fitz had a breakout season when he lead his team in scoring and rebounding in several games as a senior at Brewster Academy. He was a virtual unknown before that and before he committed to OU. I think his work ethic, toughness inside and on the boards, plus his ability to score from 17 feet and in will make it awfully hard to keep him on the bench too long. If Wright and/or Allen give Fitz an opening, he will be stealing their minutes by the start of conference play.

I feel the same way about Pledger as Sharp1. Steven is so much more than a perimeter shooter now. But, it's like the recruiting gurus failed to recognize how hard he worked in the off season and as a senior last year to develop other aspects of his game. Heck, if the only thing he could do was shoot threes, any kid who averaged 50% from behind the arc his junior and senior years in high school, could play on the my team any ol' day. ;)

I love the fact that we landed Pledger and Fitzgerald! They are the two that I have kept a really close eye on, through their SR years and in the summer/fall workouts. I really think that both will make some fantastic contributions in their first two years, if not, immediately.

Thank you Sharp1, for keeping active on this board and providing as much information as you have, about Steven. I'm a big fan of his, and you just help feed that addiction! haha

JMILL you're exactly right about Fitz and Steven. Fitz is a guy that our fans will fall in love with. On the court he will work his tail of. Off the court he is the nicest young men you would want to meet. All I can say about Steve is that people will be wondering why he wasn't recruited higher when it's all said and done. Steve can do more than just shoot. Boy, I can't wait until the season tips off. GRAB YOUR TICKETS IT'S ON! BOOMER SOONER BABY!!!:jcapel
