Totally agree, jmill! I have been saying the same thing about both players for several months.
Fitz had a breakout season when he lead his team in scoring and rebounding in several games as a senior at Brewster Academy. He was a virtual unknown before that and before he committed to OU. I think his work ethic, toughness inside and on the boards, plus his ability to score from 17 feet and in will make it awfully hard to keep him on the bench too long. If Wright and/or Allen give Fitz an opening, he will be stealing their minutes by the start of conference play.
I feel the same way about Pledger as Sharp1. Steven is so much more than a perimeter shooter now. But, it's like the recruiting gurus failed to recognize how hard he worked in the off season and as a senior last year to develop other aspects of his game. Heck, if the only thing he could do was shoot threes, any kid who averaged 50% from behind the arc his junior and senior years in high school, could play on the my team any ol' day.
