Stevie Clark back to Douglas?

News to me if Haith or an assistant was recently visiting Clark, but he's not coming to MU and is not in any way a priority unless someone decommits. If Haith is still recruiting him, it's as a contingency in case something happens with the guys we already have. MU isn't going to use three of its four (or five, if Pressey goes pro) scholarships on guards 6-0 or shorter.

I don't believe he has an offer from OU any longer.

OSU will be in the bidding process and they are close to home so they have a great chance. He is a wonderful talent.

I seriously doubt Lon would turn him away if he wanted to come to OU....

I don't know. I could easily see Lon thinking Clark got a little too big for his britches, and I don't think Lon cares to recruit guys like that. Just a thought.

Agreed. Sam or Will (or it could have been someone else) also said several weeks ago that Stevie chose the "dark side" in recruiting. I can only guess about what that means. But, if there was even a shade of gray in recruiting the kid, you can bet that LK ran as fast as he could in the other direction. We do know that the relationship cooled almost overnight.

lol

You know how much money Pickens has, right? If they want to fire Ford, money won't stop them from doing that.

osu sports is in massive debt .... they are in 0 position to buy out fords 7 years 2 mil a year contract .. and then pay 2 mil a year to a new coach ..

That is where the boosters would come in. They would be the ones paying the buyout for the most part, if it comes to that.

As long as Kruger and his staff recruits Clark by the book...I don't see why they would run in the other direction. If Kruger wants to bring in the best in state players...then he needs to recruit the Best In-State player. If Clark doesn't want to come here...then I understand. But if Kruger is set on bringing in the best that Oklahoma has to produce...then Clark needs to be recruited hard by Kruger and his staff(by the book).

Stevie Clark isn't going to be a Sooner.

I don't believe that to be accurate. I think that he went to the Vegas prep school to help him with exposure nationally, but that's about it. Believe it or not he's not really into recruiting that much.

Why do you say that? Is Clark not interested in OU? Is Kruger not interested in Clark? I am not suggesting you are wrong, I am just wondering why you are so certain.

I can't speak for Sam. But I believe Woodard's commitment to OU suggests that he is going to be the only point guard from the 2013 class.

I was repeating what someone said. I was wrong, it wasn't you or Sam. But the comment came from a poster who has proven to be a reliable source of information in the last couple of years. I removed the username from the quote:

We loved Stevie but he and his family have chosen to play the dark side of college basketball. LK doesn't and won't do it. We aren't recruiting him.

I'm done with the kid. He'll get a nice scholarship offer, and he'll probably be a good player, but I don't think LK wants to deal with kids like Clark. Not that he is some terrible person, but his entire tune has changed since we first started hearing from him a year or more ago. No biggie, we have a great set of young guards to build around.
