Not only that, but most of the extra texting was to players that had already committed.

If I recall, almost all of the impermissible texts were to Austin Johnson, and largely after he was committed to OU.

In no way was Kelvin "cheating" in a way that actually benefited us. That was always the weird part about it.
 
Reynolds was the big loss there. Damion James played all 4 years at Texas. Good not great college player.

Edit: did keith clark get hurt? I remember a ridiculous dunk at WVU

I somewhat agree, although I think James had a little better college career than you think. He was the perfect college player, in that he wasn't so good where he was going to leave early for the draft, but he did average 18 pts and 10 reb a game as a senior and ended up being a 1st round draft pick...although he didn't play in the league but for a few years. I would compare his college career to Ryan Humphrey's. Hump thought he was a wing, but transferred to ND, only to find himself playing the same position he did at OU. Hump had a nice college career as well..and ended up getting drafted in the 1st round as well...so got that guaranteed contract.
 
I respect the heck out of painter and what he’s done at Purdue. I wish we had that kind of toughness and success, which is very possible at OU. ZONA is just too much but Purdue has played their asses off.
 
It's hard to fathom that prior to today, OU had been to the Final Four TWICE since Arizona last made it there (2001). That was a gorilla they just got off their back today. I believe they're going to cut down the nets for the second time.
 
I remember a few years back, we were somewhat interested in Lendeborg when he was in Juco...but we never offered in the end. Most big schools didn't either, so he went to UAB. Hindsight is 20/20, but I wish we would have offered him back in the day! I think we could have gotten him over UAB.

Duke might have something to say about it. Those are the 3 best teams left.
 
Duke may have just cost me some money right there. I think I needed them to win, win again, then lose to Zona in the NC, but if that happened, I was getting a pretty nice little pay day.

Oh well!
 
I've generally avoided rooting for both Michigan and Illinois for various reasons over the years.

Definitely not a UCONN fan.

I don't particularly like Zona either, but I probably dislike them the least of this group of Four.

I'll probably try to watch the Zona/Michigan game, but this FF got a lot less interesting for me the past couple of days.

Boy did Houston miss an opportunity with both Florida and Duke going out early.
