Talking heads

I was gonna remark about that too.

these guys have not said a single thing positive about OU. It's all OSU this and OSU that.

They've started desperately claiming that if OSU is only down 8 it is a success.

Fran is just trying to compensate a bit because his son plays for us.

Brent kept failing to mention that Spangler was on the bench with two fouls.

We heard that Smart and Nash were in foul trouble like every :30.

Didn't they do the exact same thing last year at the game in Norman?

That is ridiculous. We're a top 25 team too, and this game was/is a toss up. Give us our due in Norman, and fondle osu during the stillwater game. Sheesh.

Fran is just trying to compensate a bit because his son plays for us.

He worries about that too damn much. His son's a walk-on who almost never sees any action. No one's going to call him on that.

But they did the same thing during our Bedlam win last season. Smart this, Smart that, Smarty Smart Smart -- they even put together a highlight reel (for one of his worst games of the season) that played when OU was ahead by 9 late in the game.

This is why I hate the hype that's surrounded Smart from the hump. It skews the coverage to a ridiculous extent.

usually I don't subscribe to this stuff, but you guys are dead on here.

Musburger just stated OU has won 9 straight at home and they turned it into a pro-OSU comment.

You'd think this was a Cowboy network.

Musberger may have dementia. He's making no sense at all.

He just cited Fran Tarketon as the former basketball coach of UNLV.

He also said that the Bedlam basketball series, which OU now leads 130-95, is "pretty close."

Did they say Cam was the first OU player since Minor to go from single digit points one season, to double the next? That can't be right, can it?

I thought I misheard him on that one. Guess not.

And used a women's basketball score from several seasons ago.

Well, you have to admit that if you are looking for OSU highlights against the Sooners in major sports, there isn't much to pick from. :woot

Honest to God, that was the worst, most inexcusably one-sided broadcast (given what was going on on the court) I've ever heard.
