Yes!!! I've been checking the board constantly about this news. I will now "patiently" wait to see how his waiver situation comes out.

Not trying to bring up an old item but is this why we lost Allen to Missouri? In other words did the coaching staff say Thomas or Allen, then when they thought they might get Thomas yank Allen's offer. Or did we just lose Allen to Missouri straight up?

Mizzou could offer a lot more PT and Allen wanted that... We wouldve taken both!
You dont pass on top 150 players!

I love it coming from Reid. I used to referee summer basketball in The Woodlands when Reid's son was in HS, and he was the head coach for the summer team. He's a good guy and very knowledgeable about basketball ...... He was really the head coach of U of H when Drexler had the figurehead title. He knows U of H basketball and knows what kind of player Thomas is.
 
Looking at the UH arena, he will feel right at home. Looks like a shrunken version of the LNC.

If Thomas can get a waiver to play next season, OU will have to be in the conversation for a top three finish in conference and a possible deep run in the NCAA tourney.

With thomas we are a top 10-15 team in the country.

Before Hornbeak left, I thought we were a strong team in the 15-25 range with a chance to move up if one of the freshmen really came on. If Thomas gets a waiver to play, I think we're a top 15 team with a chance to move into the top 10 IF Walker is a workable back-up.

Now, if we can defend, and a guy like Thomas will give us protection at the rim, the next two years are going to be sweet.
 
He allows OU to play Bennett and Buford in a backup role with a 4-man post rotation, and bring Lattin and McNease along a little slower. Maybe even one of them will redshirt.

Maybe Buford will even play the 3 when they need to go big.
 
He is a great addition to the team. If he gets the waiver he will be a starter or play starter minutes.
I would think one of the freshman bigs will probably redshirt.
 
Thought I would check on this one more time before I went to bed, glad I did. Welcome aboard Mr Thomas!!

If he plays this year, we could be the top team in the conference going into next year.
