Texas at North Carolina

Texas up 53-42 at the half. Horns have some young talent in the backcourt.

I thought tx was supposed to suck this year. They've looked like a good team so far this year.

This might be some kind of record for missed FT's between the two teams. Combined they are 40-84. Unbelievable.

Earlier in the game, they said that UNC and Texas were 2 of the 3 worst free throw shooting teams in D1 basketball.

Big 12 keeps looking better and better. Looking like it could be a really nice win if we go into Austin and get a win to open conference play.

We need to. I think we have something like @Texas, KU, OSU, @KSU, @Baylor right off the bat. Would love if we are able to win 3+.

That was a good win for the conference. Too bad KU isn't having a typical KU non-conference season.

So why is North Carolina ranked higher than OU and/or Texas? You have to vote Texas higher than North Carolina now. They just beat North Carolina in Chapel Hill. I would love to see North Carolina fail to make the Tournament and Roy Williams get fired. Not likely to happen but I can't stand Roy Williams.

I just looked at UNC's record. They have lost to Texas, Belmont and UAB yet beaten Michigan State, Kentucky, and Louisville. That makes zero sense to me. I bet Roy Williams is really scratching his head with this team.

It's looking less and less likely that a win is a possibility. Not as likely as I thought when the season started.

Here's how they shot FTs in those games. I have only watched them once but you have to think they have missed some key FTs (plus many others) in their losses. I'd say they are not happy about the rules focus so far.

vs Belmont (loss) they were 22-48 (.458) on FTs
vs Louisville (win) they were 26-38 (.684) on FTs
vs UAB (loss) they were 4-11 (.364) on FTs
vs Mich St (win) they were 19-27 (.704) on FTs
vs Kentucky (win) they were 26-45 (.578) on FTs
vs Texas (loss) they were 24-47 (.511) on FTs

I do not remotely get why you would say this. I see zero evidence to suggest OU cannot beat Texas in Austin.

You might want to watch their guards again and more importantly how our guards play defense. We can win, but it will be very tough.

Texas gets Michigan St. this Saturday at home, 3pm on CBS. We'll see how well they stack up against OU.
