I'd say Thad Matta is pretty elite...he's got Ohio State rolling in basketball...it's possibly to have an elite coach at a football school, but it definitely takes a lot of work...
I'd agree that Barnes is a good coach, but not quite elite...
I think you got me there, topdaug. The only argument I can provide is that he seems to always get out-coached in big games. Still, I definitely forgot about him.
