No one would pretend that Moser is as good a coach as Kelvin is today. Houston does have a much larger NIL budget than ou, though.
So what? Moser had the kid on his team last year and got nothing out of him, and people on this board were convinced Los sucks. Even this season, people were mocking Uzan and saying Sampson didn’t make him better.

He has gotten better for sure. Credit Uzan for putting in the work. Kelvin is a hall of fame coach.

I’m not sure that is the indictment on moser that you think it is, though. He is an upperclassmen now, and he is surrounded by more talent on Houston.

Furthermore, Moser has gotten more out of quite a few players who came from other programs, as well (Soares, Jalen Hill, Moore, Wague, and others). That doesn’t mean that Lon, Oats/Huggins, Altman, et al can’t develop players.

will be hard to top that mac finish. can’t believe miami’s shot didn’t fall.

Up until late January a lot of Houston fans thought that too. Crap even Kelvin questioned him for a long time.

Some of the opinions of him were deserved.

It wasn’t until late January and early February that he started looking like a different player. And of course, the last few 2-4 weeks has been playing with a confidence and toughness we had not seen at any time in Norman.

No doubt Kelvin coached him up and we all know Kelvin beat him down enough that he finally decided to buy in and the results have been evident.

Los deserves credit for the turn around too. He’s a different player that decided to be different. Could have been better last year too had he decided too. Ultimately though, finally, it was Los who decided to buy in. Took a while but he did.

Kelvin was able to break through and get him to turn on the switch. And he’s one of the best to do it and probably the best right now.

But it took a while for Kelvin too.

I’m glad Uzan is doing well and sure, would agree he likely needed a a new landing spot but would take any situation where Fears is at OU over him.

Is Sampson getting more out of him than Porter, sure especially recently. Houston is also a better team, imagine that is also a positive for Uzan’s game too.
