The annual Thanksgiving Hoopsfest starts tonight. A lot of the best talent in Oklahoma and Texas will be in it. I'm getting ready to head South Down I-35 to it.

Here is the full schedule.

Couple notes, Grace Prep, Jelon Hornbeak's team plays twice this weekend.

Both Douglass and Booker T Washington play twice, including against each other tonight at 8:30.

Will be other Sooner targets playing, such as Plan Prestonwood.

Overall this is one of the best tournaments in the nation.

Shameless plug, I'll be tweeting real time updates from the event from my twitter account. @Sam_Duren

One last note, based on the way he's been playing lately, I think this could be Juwan Parker's breakout event. There will be a lot of national people at this event and he's been in great form lately.

Hope Parker and the other Oklahoma boys have a good showing.

Maybe a dumb question, but what do Parker and Woodard project to on the D-1 level. Hornbeak, Hield and Henry all strike me as wings [with Henry maybe being a HF]. Also, how do Parker and Woodard compare to Hornbeak Hield and Henry? What happened to the kid down in Ardmore? Haven't heard much about him lately. Finally, how much interest is OU showing in Clark?

Sorry, lot's of questions there :)

Parker with 20 in BTW's win over Hillcrest (Dallas). Would love to see Juwan in the crimson and cream.

Can someone please post Sam's tweets here?

I don't tweet, twitter or chirp. I do whistle, just not very well. :)

So, Stevie Clark dropped 42 tonight against Dallas Kimball. Played great in all facets of the game.

Juwan Parker looked good both days, has such a skilled and high level game. Knows how to use pump fakes to get open and rarely forces bad shots. Booker T won both of their games down there.

Fun event.

Wow I bet Stevie was firing from deep. How has he progressed as a lead guard/pg?

Here is what Evan Daniels said about Juwan Parker:

Has upgraded his ability to score. Terrific mid-range game. RT @Geoffogger What do you think of Juwan Parker's progress as a prospect?

Thanks for all of your twitter updates, Sam.

Daniels just tweeted about Stevie Clark as well:

How about Stevie Clark's performance this weekend? 41 points yday. Impressive speed. Terrific long range shot. Kid is getting better.

Jordan Woodard, Juwan Parker, Stevie Clark and Shaq Morris would all look great in Sooner Unis. Make it so, Lon and staff (I'm looking at you Crutchfield)!

Thanks, guys!

Looks like LK and his staff could make a pretty good haul on the recruiting trail and never cross state lines. I wouldn't mind seeing a homegrown team in the C&C for the next few years. Pride in ones' school and in the state can go a long way in winning games.

Douglass point guard Stephen Clark would have preferred a victory, but he did everything he could to get one at the Thanksgiving Hoopfest in Duncanville, Texas.

Clark scored 42 points in a 90-80 loss to Dallas-Kimball on Saturday night at an event that included teams from Louisiana, Georgia and North Carolina.

The Trojans went 0-2 on the weekend, falling in a tight game to Tulsa Washington on Friday. Tulsa Washington’s Juwan Parker and Phabian Glasco each scored 22 in the 68-59 win. Clark had a game-high 23.

Team-wise, the weekends went very differently for Clark and Parker (the Hornets won twice), but both nationally known recruits took advantage of the big stage to show their skills. Each player has more than a dozen scholarship offers already, and both were impressive at Hoopfest.

In particular, Clark showed his ability to run his team from the point guard position, which he wasn’t asked to do for the Trojans the last two seasons.

“As he develops his feel for the position, Clark should expand his playmaking and he looks to be on his way to being a viable option at the point for high majors,” wrote Rivals.com basketball recruiting analyst Eric Bossi.
