That game can be summarized up even quicker.

OU guards are horrible against pressure defense. They struggle in every way. They struggle bringing it up, passing, and decision making. One play Blair pump faked a good pass then threw a bad one. Cade picked up the ball on one play right at the halfcourt line, which is a no no. I'm so relieved to hear we lead on Cezar Guerrero.

DM, where did you hear that we lead for Guerrero?

That guy is absolutely filthy with the ball in his hands.

He looks to have a complete game offensively. His stroke is textbook.

He reminds me of the "Professor" from the And-1 street ball team.

PLEASE LET THIS BE TRUE!

Wow that would be freakin' huge!

We need him desperately!

A defensive beast on the wing and/or inside would be ok with me too!

Why does both scout and rivals say OU has yet to offer?

The kids good but hes not a program changer. Scout has him ranked as the 31st best pg in the 2011 class

Because rivals and scouts suck. And you're right, he's not a program changer, but he can get the ball upcourt by himself and is a great passer and decision maker. Enough so that OSU is promising him the pg position.

LOL where'd you hear that. Penn will be the starting pg the next two years

I don't have to hear it. Everyone is recruiting this kid as a first year starting pg. That's why he decommitted. Of course whereever he goes he'll have to earn a spot, but he's not being recruited by OSU and Kansas to back up Tharpe and Penn.

That is what got us in trouble with TMG/Tiny. Not many guys are program changers. We just need solid pieces to join together and become a program changing TEAM. Not many banners have been hung with program chnaging players who defeated good TEAMS.

Cezar just informed that University of Oklahoma Coach Jeff Capel will be headed to California to watch Cezar and his St. John Bosco High School team take on legendary Mater Dei High School on January 5th.

Here's how to sum up that game quickly:
Cade Davis was awful.
If he played even average we would have been within a bucket at the end.

Nice post

Indeed there is. He had a rough game, no doubt. But that also goes to show how important Cade is to the team and how underappreciated he is by some (bocabull, for example).

I hate for us to rely too heavily on a single player, but it's a safe bet that we'll need a strong contribution from Cade in most of our games the rest of the way. Clearly, few of the other players on the team are prepared to step up and carry his share of the load, if he has an off day.

:clap :clap

Outstanding post, jmizzy! Program changers like Blake and Wayman don't come along too often. The good ones who genuinely care about the programs they represent are a rare commodity these days. Those who don't, as you correctly pointed out, sometimes do more harm than good.
