That OSU team sucks, and were up 10-15 the entire game.

No blowout, but a long conference season. I really thought they could get 20 wins. That is not going to happen

I agree. I pretty much told my brother (and OSU grad) the same thing. Both teams are bad and I am not certain a combined roster could win the conference. I am also not certain who would start on a combined team. Nash starts and I think Osby starts. Other than that I am not really sure.

I suspect OU will win in Norman. I don't think either team is winning many road games.

Edit - would pretty much characterize that game as a blowout. OSU controlled that second half.

Yeah - did you watch any of those videos I posted? Depressing. Heck, I'm not even asking for the Final Four teams like OSU '04 or OU '02.

I'll take those post-1995, pre-2002 teams for both programs. They were pretty much in the tournament every year... played tough defense, smart offense and had a chance to win almost every night.

Where have you gone, Victor Williams and Nolan Johnson???

Before last night Nash couldn't play his way out of a paper bag. OU comes to town and he looks like a future AA. Go figure!

To be fair, Nash has played well in other games. He also scored 21 against both Texas Tech and Tulsa; scored 20 at Pitt, 17 at Alabama.

Believe it or not, he's actually led the team in scoring in more games (7) than any other player. Keiton Page is next with 5 times.

He's just been inconsistent. He'll have a game like last night and then the next night he'll score 4 points on 4 of 15 or something like that.

I think OSU has improved some since Gulley/Dowell left and Olukemi got hurt. They actually ran some offensive sets and got easy looks/dunks in the first half. They still don't shoot it very well and tend to play not to lose when they get a 2nd half lead, but their teamwork seems improved with the shorter bench.

Their better b/c Ford is being forced to do something that he should have been doing from day 1 and thats putting Nash at the 3, putting Page at the PG spot and starting 2 post players. They are playing much better defense with this lineup. Page at the 2 has been the downfall of Fords tenure at OSU.

Yay! Another thread about OSU basketball

I wish people would stop responding to these threads. The 2nd post in this thread by Soonerbounce should have been the last.

Hey! Here's an idea: if you don't want to read about one of OU's Big 12 conference opponents, then don't click on the thread.

Problem solved!

Here's an idea: Don't lecture an OU fan on an OU board. You guys are given relative free rein here, while OU fans are quickly banned from oswho boards. As such, it behooves you, every now and then, to let an anti-osho comment pass without comment.

Uh, OU just played against OSU. If there was ever a time for an OSU basketball thread, it was when this one was created.

Thanks, Dad.

Thanks, Dad.

Skyvue is right, Jeff. You can't deny that the playing field is a lot closer to level here than on any OSU board when an OU fans shows up. I haven't been on a Poke board in years, and for good reasons, too.

I think that this is the most well-run college sports message boards I've run across. I think that has quite a bit to do with the moderators, and about 90% to do with all of the posters. Even the aggies like oSuJeff are only in mild retard mode on here [just kidding!].

Anybody who actually WATCHED that game can't say that wasn't a blowout without losing credibility.

I agree. It was pretty bad. OSU was up 11-4 when I turned the game on. They had a 13 point lead at half. They were up by 16 or 17 at one point. It really wasn't a close game. OU played poorly. The few times OU made little runs they just couldn't get over the hump.

So I'm held accountable for message boards that I have nothing to do with just because I'm an OSU fan?

Why even worry about what goes on elsewhere? Run your board like you want to run your board.

One of the things that makes this board great is that there is a lot of lively discussion about Big 12 basketball in general, not just OU. That's why I post here. It goes back to the point of my post that got skyvue all bent out of shape.

You lecture Krugerfan and then play the "Dad" card with me? Weak.

The point is, you're a guest here. That role calls for different behavior on any board.

You talk about OSU boards being overly sensitive and then you get all bent out of shape because I suggest that someone who doesn't want to read about OSU shouldn't click on a thread with OSU in the title? Come on man... you're better than that.

There are tons of posts about OSU on this board, almost all of them are started by OU fans (mostly thebigabd ;)), so I really don't see what the big deal is. You don't want to read about OSU (or KU or Texas or A&M or Baylor, etc.), don't click on the thread.

In terms of my behavior, I don't flame or troll or do anything else like that here. I feel like that's pretty decent "guest" behavior, for a message board at least...
