I'm now ready for some great recruiting news!
When you consider that Griffin and Portia will be seniors and since Kaylon suffered a bad injury and her health situation is unknown, I think our coaches are in a situation to sell more playing time to the 4/5 recruits than just about any team in the country. This should be our year to load up.
I've got my fingers and toes crossed that we land a couple of really talented biguns.

I remember sitting in the room having lunch at our booster club meeting when Sherri came in absolutely bubbling and schmoozing around the room about 3 feet off the ground and I wondered what was going on. Later she said that the Paris sisters had just called and said they were coming to OU. Those of you close enough, keep a close eye on her for similar signs.

Yep, news about OU recruiting is hard to come by. But, with our situation at the 4/5 I have to believe this will be our year to load the wagon with a few great ones.
I'm sure well get a post this class I'm just hoping she's not Like Clomen was, just a big body Sherri signed because we missed out on all the other post we were looking at in that recruiting class.
For your information Mac, Lyndsey is/was a fantastic basketball player! It's very unfortunate that you work all your life to play college basketball and when your moment comes to prove yourself one thing after another happens. Lyndsey shed alot of sweat and tears on and off the court, but I guess you were asleep in your warm bed at 4:30am when she was on the football field (with her teammates) getting soaking wet doing Navy Seal drills or just plain working. She never complained; injuries and all.
I have hundreds of video tape in her senior year when she played AAU Sports with Team Xpress. Maybe if you saw them you might get a better picture of Lyndsey the ball player instead of just a big body who Sherri signed. Lyndsey is much more than that and I would be happy to lend you those tapes if you would like to watch them.
Unfortunately, we can't control destiny. We were all devastated when she couldn't play anymore but as they say "When you get lemons you make lemonade." I believe she did that by continuing to attend and helping at practice, sharing her knowledge with her teammates; supporting them anyway possible and knowing it was her faith that got her through it every step of the way.
Lyndsey chose OU and we (her parents) supported her decision. We love Norman, the fans, the staff, her teammates, and the parents. Nothing will change that. So all I can say for your comment is that you cannot condemn a whole group of people for the actions of a few. Just know, if she could have played she would have given you everything she had.

Thank you for an eloquent post, oubbfan1! I'm sure you speak for the parents of many players who have seen their careers ended earlier than they would have wished as well as those who have seen rude and insensitive comments about their loved ones on message boards.
Didn't she put up like 9ppg coming out of high school?
