"The Basketball Tournament" Cash Tourney

Got curious about what all willie has been up to until now. This is a little career info

Warren was drafted late in the 2nd round as the 54th overall by the Los Angeles Clippers on the day of the 2010 NBA Draft. Then, on July 13, 2010, unlike many other late second-round picks, he was signed by the Clippers.[2]

Late in the 2010–11 season, Warren was assigned to the NBA D-League. There, he played 6 games in 2011 for the Bakersfield Jam of the NBA D-League where he averaged 21.0 points, 7.0 assists, 5.3 rebounds and 1.0 steals per game while shooting above 50 percent from the field and 46 percent from 3-point range. The Jam went 5-1 with Warren in the lineup from February 4 – 16. After the D-League stint, Warren was called back into the Clippers' line-up, but he was later re-assigned for a second stint on March 2, 2011.[3] On December 19, 2011, Warren was waived by the Clippers.[4]

In August 2012, Warren signed with Maccabi Rishon LeZion of the Israeli Super League for the 2012–13 season.[5]

In the summer of 2013, he signed with Szolnoki Olaj KK of Hungary.[6] On February 28, 2014, he was waived by Szolnoki.[7] On March 4, 2014, he signed with Virtus Bologna of Italy for the rest of the 2013–14 Lega Basket Serie A season.[8]

After playing for the Chongqing Fly Dragon during the 2014 NBL season, he signed with the club on September 18, 2014 for their inaugural season in the Chinese Basketball Association.[9] On April 16, 2015, he signed with Club Sagesse of the Lebanese Basketball League.[10] However, he never joined the Lebanese team due to an injury.[11]

I think willie could ball in this tourney with a bunch of guys that probably aren't as good as the D-leaguers that he did pretty well against. I dunno maybe not. But I'm definitely intrigued. I know most people could give a crap less about this tourney, but I honestly think this is one of the coolest things I've seen in awhile. It's like getting to watch an old oklahoma team get a chance for redemption. I'm sorry but to me this would be so cool to see these guys win the whole dam thing and be able to look back and say "hey we mighta sucked a fat one in 09-10...but we came together and won a tourney and $1,000,000". I think that would be pretty sick.

And the following season he helped us to our first sub .500 season in TWENTY NINE YEARS.

So there's that.

And this roster has way more in common with the 13 win team instead of the 30 win team. The difference, no Taylor, Blake, Austin, or Longar.

Yeah! Who wants to see a guy like Cade Davis do well? He was on that '09 team. We should only focus on a couple guys we don't like rather than root for guys Like Godbold and Ebe Ere (who went to a Final Four and an Elite 8). Not to mention guys like Fitz, Neal and Wright that were nothing but model student athletes for OU.

Fitzgerald did well overall, but his record wasn't spotless: He and Pledger were picked up for shoplifting as freshmen. Not saying that's a huge deal, but neither am I sure he quite qualifies as "model."

You are right. I had forgotten about that, because of how he behaved the remainder of his OU career. But at the same time, you kind of just made my point for me. You ignored every other player I mentioned and picked out the one guy where I missed a small transgression that he made., which is exactly what several people in this thread are doing with this team: ignoring all of the good and focusing on the bad.

Sorry, no period of good service can ever redeem an 18 year old who shoplifted from Dillard's.

Your point is taken, but I didn't ignore the others; I just didn't disagree with you on them. And it's true that Fitzgerald straightened out and toed the line the rest of his career at OU. We've all had our missteps.

ebi ere is a better player in college and as a pro than all but 1 of those guys
