I'm not a very smart guy, but I'm guessing that you are predicting that we upset Kentucky? If that is so, then we would be off to an amazing start! I don't think it's very likely. I think the talent mismatch will make it too tough, especially since we lack experience as well.
However, it's funny that you brought that up because just last night I spent some time looking at Kentucky's roster for this year and I dont think they will have near the team that they had last year. Obviously they had a great year with their 4 big time freshman last year and have reloaded with another star studded class this year. BUT, IMO the quality of freshman they have this year is a step down and more importantly they lost Patrick Patterson who was a senior and a proven star. They also had two other seniors in Perry Stevenson and Ramon Harris who had experience. On top of that they kicked off Darnell Dodson, who was a solid contributor.
This year they have 5 freshman expected to come in and not only fill the roles of the stars like John Wall and Demarcus Cousins, but fill the roles of those seniors as well and they only bring back 1 player with any decent experience, as opposed to 5 last year.
It wouldn't suprise me if Kentucky doesn't even make the tourney. We've seen it many times before with teams loaded with star freshmen. Last year's OU team aside, Florida from a few years ago with Jai Lucas, Nick Calathes and Chandler Parsons comes to mind because they had just come off a big time year in which they lost a big crew to the NBA.
Again though, I expect them to beat us. I just dont think they'll beat us by 30 like last year's team might have. I just think we don't have an answer for the play-making ability of Brandon Knight late in the game.

I picked the upset, so I agree. In any case I'm skipping my Monday afternoon class to watch this, so it better at least be a close game.

I agree about the upset. I think our guys will be hungry. As the game goes on our guys will see that they can play with kentucky. Then they will defeat them going away. BOOMER SOONER BABY!!!

I just hope Nick Thompson sticks with his plan and shows Terrence Jones his winner tattoo on his lip... Just saying that would be epic on top of the upset

I am a Kentucky fan as well (although i find it hard to support Calipari)...but my team is and will always be OU first and foremost...i will be super pumped if they can pull off the early season upset...

That team was incredibly fun to watch last year but Calipari made it extremely hard to root for them.

Agreed...i have stated my reasoning for being a Kentucky fan a few times but i'll do it again just incase someone missed it...i idolized Rex Chapman in the late 80's through his career in the NBA and wanted to be just like him so that's why i started following Kentucky...
been a fan ever since...Pitino, Tubby and Gillespie were guys i could root for and even though the last two underachieved IMO other than the one championship Tubby had i was content...Calipari brings the opportunity for championships each year but i have to admit i feel dirty accepting him...great athletes and fun basketball but i cant stand that dude even though he knows basketball...
