My brother got to see the OU-LMU game out there in December of '89. Hank Gathers had collapsed at the game prior to the OU game at their gym. Skeeter Henry and Bo Kimble both had over 40 points in that game, and Henry had 31 in just the second half alone.

OU won that one, 136-121.

I also loved it that LMU's first NCAA victim was New Mexico State. I don't like them now, but I really hated NMSU back then. A pure scumbag program, led by a scumbag coach who once went into the stands after an opposing student when he was at Weber State before.

I saw the OU-LMU game the year before in Norman, it was a track meet as well.
