It seems they feel the need to blow their whistle on a foul on almost every trip down the court.....I love March Madness..but college BB is getting hard to watch with all the whistles.....Against CSBU...OU's James was running behind a player as he was bringing up the ball...He stopped and James stopped as well but he barely touched his back..In the replay I could not even see if he did make contact..These were not just calls against OU....It was like this through out the tourny.....Players have played great and the games have been great and down to the wire....It's just the non stop fouls.....I have heard national guys saying refs are hurting college basketball

Driving home on Friday, I heard a commentator on the radio broadcast say the refs had been told by the NCAA to call 'every foul'. No one wants the muggings that have gone on in years past, but there has to be a happy medium.

I thought the Wisconsin flop was the worst call - really bad.

If you drive to the basket... if you try to play defense against it..90% of the time it will be a foul. When OU got some players in foul trouble..they were giving up layups...Again...I'm not saying it was only against OU. It went both ways. I saw a player drive to basket and the defensive player went to try to block the shot and missed...They blew the whistle..He never touched the player but the ref felt he had to blow the whistle because he may have touched him.

I would rather this than have it turn into the NBA. It will take a few years but if they keep it up players will adjust. It is for these guys to change the way they have played defense since they were kids. It is a bit of a pain now but hopefully it evens out. I am tired of hearing "let them play, it is March Madness" if it was a foul on the first game of the year it is a foul now. That being said the refs do need to be more consistent but hopefully that will come with time.
