they are actually doing renovations to mccasland. i work at a construction company & they plans were in my planroom a couple weeks ago.

Yes...no
LNC is not a basketball arena. It is an all purpose facility. McCasland with additional seating would be a far superior BASKETBALL venue, it has little to do with it's proximity to campus.

JMO, but the LNC is beatiful, state of the art, comfortable and the worst basketball gym in the world. Just not the same atmosphere as other real basketball gyms. Everytime I go, it seems I am miles from the court. I don't know if that is just perception or reality. But, I don't feel that way at Gallager, Reynold or Mabee.
I don't know if OU fans will support basketball under any circumstances, but for those of us who do support the sport and attend games, a new arena would be nice. Don't really know if it is worth while economically though. Probably doesn't make money sense.

Jesus people. Why dont we hire a good coach, have a good team, and play in front of 9-11,000 in the LNC? Its really not that hard. I think some of you guys have really lost it. We are not a mid major program that has to play in a glorified high school gym.
