With WW having the surgery I have a feeling he will be back and I hope he does come back. I think this season might be a wake up call for him and some of the other guys that talent alone doesn't win ball games!

“The main thing in my mind is why not come back next year and prove everybody wrong. What could be worse? Be in the lottery again?” he said. “They had me projected there this year. If I come back, they might have me projected there again. I think it would relieve pressure. I probably wouldn’t come in as national player of the year candidate like I did this year. I think it would relieve a lot of stress and I would be able to just go out there and play basketball.”

Don't worry, T. J. Taylor is not going to redshirt. OU will need every able body who is capable of contributing next year. We'll see plenty of T. J. and Cam.
 
It is great news for us if WW comes back. I really hope he does.
 
Chico I respect your information, but I know for a fact that WW doesn't know what he's going to do right now. In fact I'll just say that the info that I have says that the kid is very upset with how this year went and doesn't want to leave OU on a bad note. Now that will be very hard for some to believe on this board, but I think I will give WW the benefit of the doubt on this one. BOOMER SOONER BABY!!!
 
WW.... Come back... Please? I know you can have a great season next year, we will be back where OU needs to be, and you will lead us there.
 
I think Willie is a good kid at heart and like we all know is just immature. It would just be too sad to see him leave to the NBA coming off a season like this. Come back Willie, lets get everyone together to become a real team and make something of it.
 
I am not sure I want WW back. Why would anyone who wants the best for OU basketball want the most "immature" star(at OU) I can ever remember back without a few disclaimers thrown in?
 
If we have chemistry issues with basically the same roster this year would an offseason really change that? And people saying redshirt TJ Taylor if WW comes back we didn't have enough good guard with WW. I doubt anyone we bring in next year redshirts. We need guys that can play because of how thin we are at all positions.

How are we thin at the guard position if willie comes back?

1) tmg -- burger boy
2) willie -- burger boy
3) cade -- great hustler
4) clark -- burger boy type talent
5) pledger -- hopefully lights it up next year
6) tj talylor
7) possible juco recruit (backup pg everyone wants)

How many guards do you want? 6 is plenty?
