It is just inside the 8 minute mark in the first half. Cousins drives the baseline, and is fouled by 23 (Leyton Hammonds) and is barely out of bounds and was not anywhere near the media table. Clark comes over and hip checks him and gives a shove causing an unbalanced Cousins to go into the media table. Cousins does not end up in the media table without Clark's "assistance".

OK... just watched it again.

And yeah, Clark gives him a little bump but it was nothing that doesn't happen 20 times per game.

And especially given that Cousins shoved him back, I still don't understand why the ref needed to scream at him for 15 seconds.

The usual move in that situation is for the ref to tell both players to calm down/knock it off.

What exactly was he supposed to do, Mr. Internet tough guy? Throw a punch and get himself suspended?

Get up on Cousin's face and get himself T'd up or thrown out of the game?

Yeah, that would have been the real smart move to make there.

I guess if he was as tough as you that's what he would have done.

Just to be clear, the official in question was a buffoon a few times...he's the one that called Buddy for throwing an elbow late in the game, was very demonstrative about it and turns out he was wrong. With that said, Clark is not ready for high level D1 hoops.

Aggie Jeff goes from "Clark didn't shove anyone" to "Clark gives him a little bump" before characterizing that "bump" (which involved a shove with both hands, so ... not really a bump) as "nothing that doesn't happen 20 times per game."

In oswho games, maybe.

And of course he neglected to notice/mention that Clark, with arms extended in the air, then smacked Cousins in the face with his elbow.

And the aggies wonder why they were called for more fouls than OU last night.

This aggie squad is a chippy bunch who thought they were going to come in to LNC and intimidate the Sooners last night. Didn't really work out for them.

These players and Ford are a perfect fit.

Honestly, crying foul over Stevie "11-Minute Man" Clark getting chastised by an official when Marcus Smart receives more coddling from the officials than any college player in twenty years is beyond ironic.

So what's your excuse for Smart when he's bringing the ball up next to Hield and doesn't get fouled, doesn't trip, but literally drops the ball, throws his head back, and fell to the floor? They called a foul on Hield. So I just want to know if you will defend things that are a 100% clear with a defense that is 100% wrong.

I liked how two of the OSU coaches came out on the court hollering at Cousins. One pointed at the OU bench and screamed something at him as he was walking back to the bench. Cant picture Kruger screaming at an opposing player.

I was about 50 feet away and was saying the same thing to Cousins..."go to our bench!"

That kid frustrates the hell outta me. It horrifies me when he has the ball in his hands as it generally leads to a turnover, and his playground mentality he displayed in this in this case could have led to a technical. How about his lane violation in the second half? There's something about him that I like, but he definitely needs to mature.

Cousins was lingering a little too long. And I'm pretty sure when he got to the bench, LK had something not so nice to say to him.

But it's not really the place of the osu coaches to talk to him either.

Isaiah's putting up 10.2 ppg on 45/39/79 shooting splits, 2.1 turnover per game isn't great, but he's having a pretty nice year.

Agree. I think some people have too many negative thoughts on Cousins from last year to actually appreciate the major strides he has made to this year. Cousins has become a major asset to this team. I am excited to see the player he becomes if he continues to develop his skills.

By the way, his Assist:Turnover ratio of 1:1 is not great, but it isn't terrible and it's typically what you see from wing players, which what he is (see Hield and Clark who have similar A:T numbers).
