The Roster

I'd rather lose LaNesia. I think Penzo has an upside that we haven't seen much of. But, she also had an ACL in her freshman year.

omg! i hope that we didnt lose Ana already before the season even started!

What's the point of a post like this? If you aren't going to say who is injured, why post at all?
First, I love that the only negative comment regarding my post comes from the person who promotes optimism in her signature. Well done there.

I've known this for a couple of days. It's not like I ran over here and posted something. This was a thread about roster size and seemed an appropriate place for me to add to the disussion. I didn't say who it is because it's not my place right now. I get information sometimes but rarely post it. I'd love to give more to this board but people like you ruin it. I typically don't bring any of my inside info to this board because of crap like this. You can ask Syb that I didn't say a word about Mulkey transferring publicly but sent him and a couple others private messages just because I didn't want to take away the kid's moment.

I'm sorry I won't say a name. It will come out soon enough but I feel strongly it's not my place. I did want to make sure people knew it wasn't Maddie because I had eluded to it being sad. As far as you and I are concerned, just keep me on ignore and you won't have to worry about what I post. Thanks.

Three is a bit of a difference here. If you go back and look, you didn't reveal what you knew about the Mulkey situation, and neither did I. Neither of us brought up the fact that there would be a transfer, much less that it was Mulkey, and I think it was Atlanta that revealed the information a couple of days later. There was no "teasing" of information at that time. We simply didn't say anything.

It is this "teasing" that irritated everyone. Best to withhold everything until ready to reveal something.

Sorry if it feels like a tease. That's not my intent whatsoever. My comment was relative to the discussion and the news of who it is will come out soon enough. I'm not trolling or trying to cause hysteria. Just providing info that hasn't come out yet. I would think there would be an appreciation for that. If not, it's fine.

I’m a little surprised that you guys are saying who you would rather be injured... I mean that’s a bit extreme. Ana retweeted someone saying they can’t wait to see her play, so I don’t think it’s her, it could be Rich.

We all appreciate inside info. Some of us are just greedy :D

The idea of an already-depleted roster suffering a season-ending injury is terrifying.

My initial thought was Rich...she hurt the other knee or reinsured the repaired one.

Then I reread Mike's post and decided it wasn't Rich.

When he says it's bad....thinking more about it (since it isn't Maddie), that has to mean Vivi or Gabbi.

That's where my thoughts went too. Losing either of them would be a devastating blow.

Guessing games - Tell or don't - I know something you don't - na na na na na na - Childish - Sorry

If I remember, I fell into a little of this in the same thread when, after it was indicated that Dungee, Mulkey, and Dalton would transfer, I referred to a post by James Hale as an explanation, causing some to be irritated that I wouldn't post that information. Since it was a paid site, I wouldn't be the first to post information from which he makes a living. On another site, I indicated that I had known some information, but hadn't referred to it, resulting in criticism for bringing it up in the first place that I had known it. It's just best to keep it quiet until you feel like releasing it.

Since it has been some time, apparently, I would suppose that they are still assessing the injury.

Still no word on who blew her knee out? I've been pretty busy this week and haven't had time to keep up.

Betting favors Vivi still?

Just out of curiosity, as a former journalist, why should it be a big secret? This is addressed to Mike and Syb and everyone else who knows and just for general discussion.

You can site federal law, but that's not the reason. We get injury reports on football, baseball, basketball, soccer, badminton, table tennis, croquet, etc.

Even bad incidents like this generate interest in the program and helps keep fans involved.

It seems to me that this program could use more fans being interested and involved.

I think this kind of behavior is a part of the reason the program is floundering.

The team knows. The kid's family knows. Her friends know. Hell, half the country probably knows -- but not the fans here who don't have time to hobnob with insiders.

Bit of Devil's advocate in this post.

If it really was Rich, she's seriously going to be another Manning and be in school for 6 years at this rate! Poor girl, I was really looking forward to seeing what she would contribute this year.

In theory Rich could be a six year but not all players who have these types of injuries choose to fulfill their athletic eligibility but rather finish their degree and move in...whatever rich does my prayers are with her. She has proven to be a great teammate and the longer she's in the lockeroom I would think the better. However until we know the extent to the injury hard to say.
