OU wins out
OSU loses @ Iowa State
KSU loses @ Waco and @ Stillwater

This would be neat.

Unfortunately in the above scenario, we would still end up as the 4th seed in the Big 12 Tournament. I would prefer:

OU wins out
OSU loses to K State and @ ISU

In this scenario, we get the 3 seed and another possible crack at K-State. And we probably avoid ISU and their "home crowd" following in the quarters.

This what I think will indeed happen.

Not long ago we were hoping we'd finish in the top half of the conference, with an outside chance to get an NCAA bid. Now, we're talking about improving our seeding by finishing somewhere in the top four.

Hard to believe how far this team has come in the last two to three weeks!

And I for one couldn't be happier I was wrong

They are doing it without their second best newcomer, Buddy Hield. That is what is most impressive to me.

Feels good, doesn't it. One thing I can guarantee...I will appreciate this NCAA bid more than some of the ones during the Sampson era when I considered it a given that we made the tourney, and really only considered it a success if we made noise in the tourney. I'm happy to still be interested in college basketball in late February. It feels right.

This is definitely the scenario that we should cheer for. Obviously, we need to do our part and win out. Then hope for a rematch against KSU to see if we can knock a team off that swept us. Would be a big NCAA win.

Dream Scenario:

Winning out regular season.

Beating K-State in Big12 semifinals.

Beating Kansas AGAIN in the Big12 finals.

That would move us up to a 4/5 seed IMO.
