So, one of the things my wife got my daughter was tickets to the A&M game this weekend. She bought the tickets through Groupon.

So, first of all, it's sad as hell that it's come to this.....Our ticket office selling tickets on Groupon.

Second of all, my daughter had a birthday party come up and she really wants to go, so we decided we'd try to get the tickets switched to the last game that was available on Groupon, the Texas Tech game.

The ticket office told me "tough cookies."

So, what they're telling me is that they'd rather have 10,000 empty seats than to allow me to transfer my PAID FOR tickets from the A&M game to the Tech game.

I've always been frustrated with our ticket and marketing departments' handling of sports other than football, but they should be GIVING away tickets to fill up the arena instead of turning people down, in my opinion.

Just another reason for me to stay away from the LNC this year, as if the basketball, or lack thereof, wasn't enough.

Sorry for the rant.

yea the ticket office couldnt care less if people actually show up as long as tickets are sold

Why should it be any different? If a consumer is going to buy a ticket, and OU seats are overpriced to begin with, why wouldn't they attend?

sorry but not sure you really have a complaint. It probably says non refundable or non transferrable on there. sucks but tough cookies.

I know this sounds harsh but enablers get what they deserve.

Oh, I certainly don't think I got "screwed" on this deal, I just really thought they would work with me, given the fact that they're having trouble getting 5,000 people to the games. That's all.

I'm not the only one who had issues with the Groupon thing, either, which seems to be a disaster on top of the disaster of having to advertise on Groupon in the first place!

Someone should give this guy's daughter tickets to a game.

I would also encourage you to go to the tech game anway. You have a good shot at being given tickets and won't have to pay much if you do have to buy them.

I don't need to be given tickets to a game. We already decided to go to another game.

The sad thing is, I'm three years removed from being a season ticket holder. Hell, we followed the team to Memphis just two years ago. Now I am deciding whether to even go to one game this year. I feel like a bad fan, but this team just isn't fun to watch.
