If a school doesn't sell their entire allotment of tickets do they go back to Ticketmaster to sell?

There's cheap tickets on Stubhub right now...actually cheaper than what you can buy them at ticketmaster or at least the same price.

I'll check it out. I've never used StubHub before. How do you obtain the tickets?

The last two times the tourney was in OKC I went to the ticket window at 10:00 day of game and got returned seats. In '03 (or '02, can't remember...) I ended up with corporate seats, half court about 10 rows up and sat a few seats down from the lead singer of the Counting Crows (big Cal fan).

You will be able to get very cheap tickets for Friday's afternoon session, Sunday may be a bit pricier.

Where will you be able to get good tickets for cheap? Stubhub? Scalpers? Returned seats at ticket window at the arena?

You'll get them electronically to print at home.

Actually, none of the NCAA basketball tournament tickets on Stubhub are listed as "print at home" or "electronic." They are either listed as "UPS" or "Pick Up - Game Day."

For these events, Stubhub often sets up a pick-up site (table) at a nearby hotel. When you set up a Stubhub account and buy the tickets, you are directed to where the pick-up site is located. At least, that is what I have experienced in the past with NCAA tournament tickets through Stubhub.

NOTE: Stubhub has an agreement with The University of Oklahoma for OU HOME football and basketball games which facilitates the electronic printing of tickets with the necessary bar code which is scanned upon entry to Owen field or the LNC. Apparently, Stubhub does not have a similar arrangement with the NCAA for tournament games.

Re: Tickets Quest

I'm not as familiar with Chesapeake as I am the BOK. Are the tickets on the lower level in the corners pretty good?

Stubhub had some in those corner sections for around $110 for Friday's afternoon session. Does anyone know what face value is?

Face value is around $50-$55 per ticket. I would think the sight-lines for a corner seat are similar for both the BOK and Chesapeake arenas, as long as the seat is not too low.

I suggest waiting to buy. On-line ticket prices tend to come down with each passing day. Also, I'm sure you know that single tickets can be obtained at a cheaper price, compared to pairs (especially outside the arena). Single tickets are just harder to sell, as most folks are looking for pairs.

Hope we have a strong contigent for this first game. Don't want people to wait for Sunday's game only.

The Big 12 tourney tickets this year had to be picked up also. StubHub had a table in the lobby of the downtown Marriott. Not difficult at all.

We saw the people lined up in the Muehlebach lobby picking up tickets.
