Tiny Gone!!

Hysterical.

This is a disaster.

I'm trying to remain on the emotional high road and not wish them ill, but I do wish Tiny and TMG had never set foot in Norman. They did far more harm than good, and they've shown no sign whatsoever of caring about anything but themselves -- not their teammates, the program, the fans, or the university.

I'll do my best to just forget I ever heard their names and try to avoid funneling my disappointment and frustration into hard feelings toward them.

But honestly, I sincerely hope their names are never posted on this board again. I don't care whether they get drafted, what international team they end up playing for, what they're earning (perhaps I should say "earning"), what their points-per-game average will be. I'm not sticking pins in voodoo dolls or anything, but if I never hear either of their names again, it will be way too soon.

I felt the same way when Bomar and JD Quinn were kicked off.

So did I, and I still feel that way. I don't lay awake at night wishing bad things for Bomar, but I got sick to death of reading about him on the Hale board. Some fans just couldn't let him go.

I hope we can let Tiny and TMG go. Maybe we could start a special board here for those who want to offer updates and news in the future; that way, those who care can keep up with them, and those of us who'd like to forget they ever wore crimson and cream could avoid seeing their names even in the subject lines of new threads.

I am with the old guys. Rom, you and sky are right. I said the exact same thing in the TMG thread. I hate that they ever wore these uni's. Good thing is, I can't wait to see Cam and TJ play.

this is a good thing for the program. this was the last part of a cancer that had infested this program. best wishes to him but now it's time to get the hardworking, hardnosed, team oriented players. that doesn't mean OU can't and won't sign anymore burger boys.

LOL, this was not good news....gallon was the most important recruit this offseason and we were unable to bring him back...we VERY desperately needed him to be a sooner next year

I get it you are upset about the state of the team. Don't take it out on me.
I've rooted for OU basketball longer than you, but not with the passion you have lately. So forgive me for not blowing sunshine up your tail.
I LOVE OU basketball and won't hesitate to call it like I see it.
This team is in death spiral right now.

And for the record I REALLY appreciate what you've done for the program.

I do apologize for getting on your nerves.

Rom -- I think you and I are close to the same age, and if so, we've been rooting for OU basketball longer than BigTime has been alive.

Death spiral doesn't even begin to describe the state of the program right now. If Capel misses on any recruits he is targeting, his days are numbered in Norman. No way he survives next year with 10K empty seats at every game. Even worse, osu will have 3 or 4 times the amount of fans we will have in Norman and KU will have 10 times. Talk about embarrassment.

They may have worn the jerseys, but Tiny and TMG will never be SOONERS.

That's my biggest disappointment as well.

I won't be seeking out news on them.

Only got to watch one OU game in person this year( Northern Colorado). Tiny moaned and cried the whole game while getting outplayed against a lesser team that almost beat OU. I for one won't miss him. Not a big Sampson fan but give me a Abercrumbie that plays with effort and heart and i'll be happy! Love talented guys but don't want any crybabies!

I pretty much agree with both of these statements. The University of Oklahoma does not need those who would defame or degrade the integrity of the institution. It is about a lot more than basketball or football.

After you go 13-18, there is no need to come back. You have obviously accomplished everything you needed to at this level. They proved that they can put up average numbers on a horrible team.

What else can they do?

I don't hate to say it -- but about a thousand people tried to tell you folks who wear rose-colored glasses.

One way or another this kid was a long-gone puppy.

He really had no choice. The agent thing was going to get him kicked out of OU and no D-1 school would probably touch him, especially this late.

So, I always figured he'd be out of competitive basketball for at least a year or two.

Is this the first team in history to go 13-18, first losing season in 30 years, and have THREE guys declare for the draft? Never seen anything like this but I'm glad its over and ready for a FRESH start.
