TMG at it again on Twitter

It's a long way from getting cut from the D-League to an NBA bench. The only way this kid ever makes any coin playing basketball is in Europe, and he's far too undisciplined and immature for that right now. Honestly the best thing for him would be to have to go work some crappy fast food job for a year or two to support himself and learn how things work in the real world.

I don't disagree. You'd think getting cut from the D-League would make one examine their futures...well...apparently not. Is the ABA or CBA still around?

Agreed. I went to his twitter account just to see what sparked it, and there were some OU "fans" giving him grief for no apparent reason, other than that he left OU.
It's one thing to post an opinion on a message board....it's quite another to go to his twitter account and insult him.

While I don't agree with those OU fans giving him grief on his twitter account but he did put himself in the situation he's in now with his poor decisions.

What else did he say (I don't Tweet) that makes you think he hasn't examined his future? I'm not being facetious; just wondering. That quote above about wishing he was still at OU says VOLUMES, IMO and could be considered a step in the right direction.

How old is TMG? 20? 21? He needs to become a man. If he does, he could still find a comfortable NBA bench. Lord knows, he has the talent.

He has no shot to ever make an NBA bench...No shot. And the only shot that he ever had was gone the minute he left OU and lost the mentor-ship of Capel. He blew it. Europe leagues are not going to invest much into him especially when he can barely speak our language.

This is a perfect reason why Capel should get another year just b/c TMG was given the advice to stay and he didn't and now he wishes he were here...that just irritates me...b/c we are in this spot b/c of him and the rest of those premadonnas. Not one of them is on a NBA roster...Not one. Your talking about an upgrade at 3 positions if those guys were here...Theres no doubt that we would be back in the tournament. B/c that kid is 10 times better PG than Blair.

The more I think about this, the more confused I get. So he's now saying he left OU because the fans didn't shower him with enough praise for his "work"?

I don't think he should be on Twitter. Facebook..yes...he can pick and choose his friends but he is just asking for it on Twitter.

even if he had decided not to enter the draft and come back, there is a good chance he would not be eligible right now

Remember, he had "OU fans" sort of hassling him on his twitter account. Just like Dem said, who knows what the context was. He's still pretty young and that quote is actually pretty subdued for what MANY kids his age might have said given his situation.

I bet he's done quite a bit of soul searching the past few months and the quote about wanting to be back at OU says A LOT IMO...

I shouldn't have laughed as hard as I did on that quote.

Talent-wise, TMG is NBA-level. Obviously, as was said, he needs to grow up and grow up quickly. Anybody know what is "entourage"/family is like? I can't remember, but it seems like he has zero guidance even to this day. I wish I got blessed with his talent.

Why couldn't Capel keep the kid in school? Isn't he a great motivator?

To me that statement just points to what seems to have been TMG's problem from the get-go: a sense of entitlement. Until he loses that attitude, he is going absolutely nowhere.

Statements like this are where many posters lose me. Do you REALLY not believe Capel wanted this kid to change? C'mon. He surely likes these kids and tries to do his best with them. Unless you just TRULY dislike JC as a person, you surely can't believe that.

If you're a regular school teacher, what would you do with a trouble-making kid?

Unless you are trying to read more into it than what he said, he indicates he wishes he'd done things differently. Maybe I'm missing his point...again, we don't know the entire context of what is being said. You COULD be right.

I still find it shocking that this guy went to the same school with Sam Bradford, GK, Blake Griffin, DeMarco Murray, etc. I know that I just named off a few football guys but they are the polar opposite of what TMG is.

OK, now you're talking about something you have ZERO clue about. You obviously don't have kids in school. I do.

You know what they do with them, jesse???? THEY MOVE THEM TO THE FRONT OF THE CLASS. If the teacher sends them to the office, THE OFFICE SENDS THEM BACK.

I'm telling you the truth, my brother.

Good God.

Maybe we can put him on that A&E show where they take troubled youth into a maximum security prison and shows them what prison life is like. Lol.

premadonnas are harder to motivate than postmadonnas. Perhaps, TMG is finally moving into his postmadonna stage.
