TMG at it again on Twitter

The only thing I care about is TMG's LinkedIn account.

TMG had the wrong people in his corner. Mainly Vince Youngs uncle/agent saw him as another meal ticket. The rest is history.

I still find it shocking that this guy went to the same school with Sam Bradford, GK, Blake Griffin, DeMarco Murray, etc. I know that I just named off a few football guys but they are the polar opposite of what TMG is.

:clap

I personally don't see TMG as a lost cause. He is at another crossroads in his life, and every time he makes the wrong choice, his options become more limited.

I have worked with murderers, drug dealers, robbers, and all sorts of people that society wrote off at a point. I have seen plenty of them released from prison, only to return to their comfort zones. Most of the guys with the same mindset as TMG have never had a close positive male figure in their lives.

It will be a matter of him finally realizing that his current way of thinking isn't working. Sounds like he may be even considering that he messed up, which IMO is a positive.

Everyone isn't equipped or wired with the stuff it takes to work with these guys. Many of them can't be worked with, and you just protect yourself and family from them. I don't see TMG as that far gone yet... I hope that he finds his way out of the circle that he obviously is in. Life is short, and nothing would be sadder than him wasting what he has been given.

There is life outside of OU. He blew that one, but he still can recover. I blew a few similar opportunities myself, and today I'm doing pretty good for myself/family. Hopefully his mistakes will become stepping stones instead of stumbling blocks. That is how I define my life.....

Well said, jmizzy.

I don't think anyone will argue that TMG's conduct and the way he left OU was acceptable behavior by any stretch of the imagination. Yet, I can't help but feel sorry for the kid. Who knows what his life was like growing up or if the adults he looked up to had his best interests at heart? Frankly, I doubt if that was the case.

The thing that stood out to me as a possible positive in his tweet was the quote below. It appears that he is still not willing to accept responsibility for his actions, but that he is finally admitting he screwed up by leaving OU. For his sake, I hope the admission is a sign that he is on the right track.

Yall wish I was still at OU just like I do lol

Lost him at Da

I agree.

Sadly, this kid has never worked as an athlete in his life. He actually believes he and his teammates worked hard last season. I don't know why but I will share a little information with that spoiled little child:

TMG you and your teammates did not work hard last season compared to any college basketball team. Working slightly harder than an AAU team or high school is not hard work compared to the world of college basketball.

I think TMG should focus on finding a nice union job where the hard work of others will help him keep his job. If that doesn't work he might just want to hurry up and commit his three felonies so that he may spend the rest of his life in a prison.

I shouldn't have laughed as hard as I did on that quote.

Talent-wise, TMG is NBA-level. Obviously, as was said, he needs to grow up and grow up quickly. Anybody know what is "entourage"/family is like? I can't remember, but it seems like he has zero guidance even to this day. I wish I got blessed with his talent.

Why couldn't Capel keep the kid in school? Isn't he a great motivator?

I think Capel went wrong when he refused to discipline TMG for antics like skipping study hall, skipping practice, refusing to tape his ankles so he left practice, after the holidays he showed up 2 days late, etc.

Now, I know Capel made him miss a half of one of the games for the last offense, but Capel sacrificed future rewards for the present by allowing TMG to do as he wanted when he wanted with little if any retribution.

A little tough love goes a long way, and all 3 of the malcontents needed discipline in the worst way and Capel failed them.

Of course, one could say his high school, junior high, and elementary teachers failed him, too, but a lot of those folks are just surviving trying to support their family. My wife used to be an inner city school teacher in Kansas City, and discipline was the furthest thing from her mind...it was all about making it thru each day due to the home life of most inner city kids. Now, my wife sells educational software to school systems and one of her customers is an inner city charter school (high school). The principal had 2 kids attack him a few weeks ago, luckily he's an ex-NFL football player so he won the battle. A week or so later, a kid brought a sawed-off shotgun to school and when caught admitted he was going to use it to kill the principal and his assistant.

TMGs disinterest in team ball was well documented on here before even arriving on campus, none of it is a surprise in hindsight.

Best of luck to him, don't care what his twitter says in the past or going forward.

lol.lol he mean't to say [this and that]lol he is tweeting slang talk aka ebonics lol at least i hope so lol.

ive said this over & over & over. TMG & tiny BOTH thought they were gods to basketball & deserved everything handed to them. & the rumors going around him asking capel to pay him cause some of his other friends at schools were being paid & capel said no.. (like i said just a rumor but it wouldnt surprise me coming from him) TMG is getting what he deserves. what really irks me is that he left after spring break & couldnt even tell people he was leaving. sooo selfish
